Sat in my mothers House waiting for her window to be replaced.

Full story.
My mum and her partner are in London, left on Monday due back tommorow.
Anyway DP was off to work this morning, and sees that my mums front door is open, police car outside and some man stood at the door, so he rings me up, we didnt know what to expect.
So I rang my mums house number and a man answers asking who I am, so I let loose who the hell are you? your in my mums house.
He then says apologies before putting on a police officer, my mums only been bliming broken into :(
Smashed the whole side gate down (which I cant understand), and the whole, I mean WHOLE UPVC window to the kitchen as been taken out!!! they smashed it, then unscrewed it off.....???
Climbed through the kitchen, and raided the whole house, every da*n cupboard was opened, every little nook and cranny been through it looked like a bomb had gone off....
WE don't know whats been taken big things like t.v, stereo are all there, but little things like Jewerlly looks like its gone her whole jewerly box is empty :( and my dads wedding ring was in there, when he died mum put it on her finger and what happened was it ended up needing to be cut off she has left it on that long and she kept it in her box, thats gone :( she will be so upset.
All the bedrooms was just scattered with clothes, letters, bills etc...just every cupboard litterly took off the rollers and emptied out, it looks like they was looking for money or something?

Good thing is Dave (mums dp) collects Dinkie cars? and Trains (hes a train driver) he has over 50k worth of collectable in a trunk which is chained to the floor and padlocked they didnt touch them and it doesnt look like any of them have been touched.

He left his Jag keys (spare set in a cupboard) and luckily they are still there.....His car is parked at the train station LUCKILY.

Its been bedlam, so I've been sat there whilst they take evidence and pictures, and waiting for a window to be replaced, its awful they arent due home till tommorow and the whole locks to the house have been changed I can't contact them either, so they will be locked out, we had to change the locks as keys was scattered and we dont know if they have took any.

WHAT A BLIMIN NIGHTMARE.

Worst thing too is I was up all night with toothache :( so havent had much sleep...please tell me we have some good luck coming our way it seems to be bad luck all the time :(

Sorry to rant! people like this should have there hands cut off, even that isnt a good enough punishment :(

OMG Beth:(

Words fail me.

Sending you all {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}

Oh Beth, how awful :(

:grouphug: for you and your poor mum. It is a terrible experience being burgled :(

Prison is too good for these people (I know I work in one!). So all I can say is, what goes around comes around, and I really do believe that. Hope your Mum and her DP are OK? And you get well soon too! I'm back at work on Monday (vertigo has gone), with all those nice people who do over peoples houses. :(

Take care pet.

Beth i'm so sorry to hear this. This is the last thing you need and what an awful thing to have to return home to from a trip away:( I hope your mum and her Dp are ok. I hope they manage to catch them too which i know is a very slim chance. These people don't deserve to be on the streets:mad:

If you need to talk just pm me:D

Ah, Beth - anything more coming your way:(

Total sympathies to you and your mum. It's a horrible, horrible thing to have happened.

When Katie was 6 months old I came home from work at around 6.15pm (having collected her from MILs), round the side to the back where our flat entrance was and . . . there was only half a door.

Like your dad's wedding ring, those are things that are irreplacable (my aunt had bought me a bangle to match my engagement ring when she was dying - can never, never, never be replaced).

But what upset me more than losing anything was the fact that they had tore into Katie's bedroom - all her wardrobe, the cot, everything was trashed.

I hope you're poor mum's ok when she gets back.

Also hope that toothache's being sorted for you.

HUGE

Oh Beth! How awful! Your poor mum too:( So sorry to hear this news, I hope its all sorted soon, and that your toothache is better too.

Thanx everyone, BAD LUCK seems to be casted upon my family at the moment.

I spent all night worrying over mums house, thankfully it was fine this morning, and mum is now home and not a happy bunny, she doesnt know whats gone, and they might be missing bank cards, statements and cheque books but cant remember.
They have so much stuff in cupboards its a nightmare to recollect what was in there and what wasnt.
I feel so sad for them, she sounds upset on the phone and drained.

I think they will be moving now, and to be honest they don't get on with the neighbours and me thinks this has something to do with them as there is a certain neighbour who thinks he owns the whole row of houses and can do whatever he pleases, it means he can hammer the walls down at midnight.....etc...its unfair. So this has been a ongoing problem.

Anyways will inform you all if anything happens from now, hopefully its only bits and peices gone, I know all her jewerly has gone and thats why she was upset. But hopefully nothing money wise has been taken etc...:(

Groan! another day huh!!! roll on tommorow.

Beth
P,s thank you all :)
