Spending my birthday in Disney! Oct 2010 PTR - UPDATED 10/11 TR STARTED

I got my new phone yesterday. I love, love, LOVE it! It's a touch screen (my first one!) and it does a whole bunch of stuff that my old phone didn't. Expect lots of photo updates from WDW on facebook and twitter!

Hi guys! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Kris and I both had the day off yesterday so we went out to lunch & to a movie. We saw Going the Distance, that new one with Drew Barrymore. It wasn't bad, had it's funny moments. I liked it. Today I'm currently at work, no big plans after work, just going to relax. Tomorrow is my brother's birthday so I'm going over to his house for a BBQ. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous so that's a plus. And I'm off again Monday!

If you don't count today, I have 10 days of work left until Disney time!

I have a little bit of a to-do list before we leave:
- Buy a memory card for digi-cam. I currently have about 200 pictures remaining on the one that's already in the camera but last year I took over 600 photos so I need a card that's Disney only

- Buy Micro SD card for phone. The internal memory is ok but I have a feeling I'll be snapping a lot of pictures with my phone for Facebook and Twitter updates. I've been testing it out and so far everything works great! I'm already friends with a lot of you on facebook but if you want to see updates, PM me and I'll give you my info. Or you can follow me on Twitter - Jenny105.

- Buy travel size toiletries. I saw this kit in Target for $5. It comes with travel size shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, a quart size bag (for my makeup!), and mouthwash. I think I'm going to pick one up for my sister too.

- Figure out what I'm going to wear & start packing! I may do this today if I'm not feeling too lazy.

-Fax in requests and online check-in. To be done at the 10 day mark. Our only request was to have a king size room and I don't think that will be a big deal. I hope we get a refurbished room. Fingers crossed!

-Cash in coins Everytime I have change, I throw it into this yard long margarita glass I have. There's a whole bunch of change in there right now so I'm going to take it to the coin machine at TD Bank and put it toward my Disney spending money!

That's all I can think of right now.

We like to save up all of our loose change and cash it right before we leave also. I pull out all the quarters to use for the laundry machines, but everything else gets taken to CoinStar to use for vacation.

I always dedicate a memory card to Disney. Always. Plus, I take too many pictures that they wouldn't fit on my regular memory card!

The travel kit from Target sounds like a great deal! I might have to swing by and pick one up for myself. Was the shampoo and what not any type of brand name? Just curious as of course, I'm rather picky...

Crossing my fingers for the refurbished room and king bed!

I'm debating what to do with my memory cards. I have one that only holds 200 pics and that's what I call my "everyday" card (all those pics I have on my PTR). Then, I have one that holds over 1,000 and all my pics from my June 2009 WDW trip are still on there. I have printed all of them out for scrapbooking and they're also on my photobucket account. I'm still afraid to delete them though, but I really need the space for my upcoming trip. So confused!

I think it was either Pantene or Herbal Essence. There were two different kits. Everything in there was name brand and not generic. That's why I want to get it because I do not like the shampoo and conditioner they give you at Disney. I could probably bring my regular size bottles but they'll take up too much space. Plus, since they'd have to be in my checked bag and those tend to be thrown around, I don't want them leaking all over everything.

I'm guessing I have about $50 in change? I'm not taking it to the place until the weekend before we leave!

I never, ever delete pictures off my memory cards. I just keep buying new ones! I have had too many computers that have crashed and I've lost all my pictures (because dummy me doesn't back them up on a flash drive or anything) so I always just leave everything on my card. Disney trips always get their own card so it's like tradition for me to buy a new one. And the micro SD I just want in general for my phone. I finally have a phone that takes decent pictures plus video so I need the memory for it.

Yup! As far as I know HD is the only place that has them! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them. I was thinking of putting my name on one and making a keychain out of it and hanging it off my VB bag. Maybe put a few in the window of our room at POP.

Just wanted to let you know what I ended up doing with my memory card. I went to Walmart and uploaded all of my pics onto a photo disc! It was only $3 and I now know that all of my pics are safe and sound. It saves a ton of money instead of buying new memory cards all the time. Just wanted to let you know!

2 weeks to go! 10 days of work remaining, 14 until we check in!

I had the day off today and got to thinking about what I want to pack. I've never given it much thought before. Usually, I just throw a whole bunch of clothing into a suitcase and don't wear half of it. I wanted to avoid doing that this time to save some space..especially since I was informed by my sister yesterday that I need to pack the air mattress for her. It's only a twin size but that and the pump will take up some space. And I have no idea where it will fit in that room! It's Alex, Adam, and her in the room so I guess they're going to take turns sleeping on it. Fitting it in a room at Pop should be an adventure in itself.

So I took some pictures of what I want to pack! (Thanks to Meghan aka dancegrl624 for the idea )

I don't know what I'm going to wear on the plane. I'm always cold on planes so I'll probably be dressed in layers so I'm not roasting when we get to Florida. I always have to shower as soon as I get into the hotel room so I feel refreshed after traveling and then I will be changing into this before heading to MK.

Those pants are distressed boyfriend cut capris and I usually roll up the cuffs a little so they fall right at my knee. They're super comfy and since it will already be nighttime by the time we get to MK, I won't be hot in them!

For our first full day, AK day, and my birthday I have yet to decide on a shirt. Help me out!

We'll be going to Ohana that night and I want to wear one of my sundresses but again, I don't know which one. I'm leanning toward the one on the left.

Epcot Day! I'm a little wary about white shorts at a theme park but considering all the rides in Epcot are indoors and that shirt is long enough to cover my behind, I should be good.

Perhaps the most anticipated day..and it's non-Disney WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER DAY!

The shirt looks super tiny compared to those shorts but it's really stretchy. I wish I had something scarlet and gold to wear!

DHS Day!

And our last day I hope I'm not freezing when I get off the plane cause it'll be..oh 10 pm when we land back in JFK. I'll probably throw my hoodie into the rental car so I have it to bring on the plane.

I also snapped a picture of the dress I usually wear when I go to the beach which will be my pool dress in Disney as well as a few of my swimsuits I'm thinking of brining. 2 of out those 3. What do ya think? The one on the right can be worn with or without that blue tie.

What a great idea to take pictures of your outfits. I like the peach shirt on the left, but the floral dress on the right.

But all of your choices are cute.

I always wear long pants and carry a hoodie with me on the plane cause I'm normally freezing as well. While it will be warm when you get to Orlando, it won't be to long before you can change and having a pair of long pants just in case the weather turns cold is a must for me.

I'll probably wear jeans and bring a hoodie on the flight into MCO. The AC is always blasting everywhere in FL and we won't be in the heat for very long. Just walking to and from the rental car.
