Ok so on Cc I only need cash for the stamp. How do you plan your spending money? I will prepay any excursions and plan to have cash for food and drinks. Do you already have an idea of what you want to buy? We are going to cozumel Falmouth and grand cayman

We also plan on cash to tip excursion guides. We try to keep souvenirs to a minimum unless there is something really unique to a particular location. The less clutter in the house, the better. Kids get a (small) set budget for each stop.

I forgot to mention that we do try to find locally made Christmas ornaments. So that doesn't require much of a budget ... maybe $10-$20 per port max.

Generally we always bring small bills 1's and 5's for tips and things while at ports other than CC. We like to get either T-shirts of bags/purses from the different countries we visit so we end up spending about $50 on average in extras at some ports.

Most places in Cozumel and Grand Cayman accept $US. Grand Cayman also accepts CC (though I would make sure it is one without foreign transaction fees in case they do convert it). Cozumel does, too, but I would probably be a little more judicious about which places I used a CC at.
