Spending money at wdw

Know there are quite a few threads on this already, but want to throw this out with my own personal agenda
We leave next Tuesday and will be there for 6 night/7days. We have dp and will be eating 6 ts, maybe one more out of pocket? Since there are six of us, we will have tip auto at 18%. I've done the estimating game to determine I could be at $50 a table ($300 total). We don't plan on that many souvenirs, as I've prepurchased some already. (not to mention my husband is tight) the children already have $25 gift card for some.
I'm looking into buying gift cards today, to save fuel points. I was thinking $500, but don't want to have leftover, so maybe $400?
Can you charge stuff in dtd to your room?
The only things I know I'll need cash for are airport snacks and tipping.

I know all the Disney owned stores at DTD can take your KTTW. I don't think we have ever really shopped at the non-Disney places like the Lego store, etc. so I don't now about them.

Just returned from a six night seven day stay for a family of four. We were able to room charge our purchases at the Lego store in DTD. We also charged everything to our room, including TS tips, and then paid with Disney Gift cards upon check out. You can always ask for your room charge total at any time to keep accurate totals.

You can also go to each menu and total up an estimate of the charge. Are you all adults? Buffets or ordering from menu? I would estimate on the error of caution. You don't want to have left over money you cannot spend. Have a wonderful trip.
