Spending Christmas 2008 at Disneyland

We are leaving about 8am for Disneyland. Decided to make the trip to CA this year instead of FL. The family has never been and it's been >25 years since I've been there. Not doing the balls to the wall trip like is normal to FL. I plan on taking 2-2.5 days.

We made it to CA today. Stopped in Blythe before the final leg of the trip into Anaheim. Man I was buckin a killer headwind Saturday from Dallas to Van Horn. 2 fillups on the way at 8.6 mpg. Today filled up 3 times getting 9.9, 10 and 10.7 mpg. I didn't really think the wind was that bad through Texas, but I guess it was.

I hate driving across Texas. You drive forever and are still in Texas. We managed to be in 4 states today. only 1 yesterday.

LOL! Kinda funny reading that from a Texan!? Sure, we feel the same way trying to cross TX to get to LA or other points east.
