Spend 1st day (Sat) "just looking"?

We fly into LAX often and have never had a problem. Quick in and out! We fly Allegiant and Alaska from Medford. Flying allegiant to lax again tomorrow ($29.99 flight!) take shuttle to rental car ($200 for 8 days through Hotwire) and heading to the DLH! Can't wait! I see no problem with LAX! do waht works best for you and is the cheapest is my advice! My family would def. not want to just walk around the first day and not ride anything! Good luck with that! We have just gone to DTD on the first evening. It is like a mini intro to the parks. Good food, great music and the huge Disney store! Have a blast whatever you decide!

We're still working on hotel decisions but first priority is walking distance. (recommendations welcome---esp if they are Marriott related since we're likely getting a Friends/Family rate)

My husband and I are big Marriott fans too and I would recommend the Fairfield Inn across the street. Its a super fast walk and the rooms are comfy. Plus we have always had good luck in getting a great deal at this hotel.
