Im sure most familys have some things in common, like taking pictures in and around your hotel and room. Surely most all of us when staying on grounds at disney world enjoy taking pictures of the beautiful hotel, rooms and grounds. This is what happen on two different disney world trips at on ground hotels. The first situation was the contempary hotel, my daughter booked two rooms for 7 days for 4 adults and 3 chrildren. When we arived all of the the lobby area was in total destruction, men using jackhammers, saws, weilding machines and lots of noise. And our rooms facing the lobby two floors up. When booking these hotel rooms my daughter was never told that remodeling work in the contempary lobby would be going on during our vacation stay. And room rates stay the same. Second situation was the wilderness lodge, booked two rooms and my wife just bought me a new camera and was looking forward to taking pictures from our room balcony. That evening i decided to take some pictures from the balcony,i opened the sliding doors and to my surprise against our balcony was scaffolds and men walking. Painting and work crews were working on the outside of the lodge. Could not take any balcony pictures, and the room rates stay the same. When booking rooms at onground disney hotels, its always a good idea to ask if any major remodeling work is being done at the hotel your booking and ask where is your room located to the work being done at the hotel. This will give you a chance to book at another hotel or perhaps you may feel the work being done at the hotel has some distance from your room.

After inspecting the room ou could ask for another room assignment.

We always take pictures of our rooms and the view as well. I would have been a little upset as well. Like the previous poster mentioned, I would have asked for a different room!
