We have ressies for 8pm on a 9pm Wishes night.
Will we make it or will they be pushing us out????
Just curious?
first time for CG so we want to see the fireworks.
:thumbsup2

I will guess that you will be around mid-meal by the time Wishes starts.

We had ressies for 8 too, but Wishes weren't until 10. We thought we would REALLY need to linger, but we didn't. We were just eating dessert when Wishes started.

So, I wouldn't worry about it. :thumbsup2

Btw, have a great time! Our experience at CG was awesome! We were able to sit right next to the window, and the view is absolutely breath-taking! Have you suggested a window seat? If you want a window seat, I would get there pretty early and request it.

My husband and I were there for two hours, and our server never rushed us. We took our wine out to the observation deck to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks, and it was very impressive from up there. Once back at our table and eating dessert, we were able to watch the Epcot Illuminations show. This was our favorite meal at DW!

Hopefully our 3 1/2 year old will make it but if she falls alseep at the table thats ok too. I can't wait and the menu looks so good.
So the earlier you arrive the better for window seats?
We don't want to go too early b/c then we may really be pushing our DD.
Thanks all.

Our dinner at CG lasted three hours! You don't have to worry about being rushed. Enjoy your meal!

Window seats are never 'guaranteed' (only for special occassions I think). But the way I see it, the earlier you get there, the more windows seats there will be. :thumbsup2

And even if you don't get there early, still request a window seat for sure! You never know...;)

Personally, I like the wine room. It is tucked off in the corner, small and great view of Illuminations.

If your ressie is at 8, you may or may not be seated promptly. Plan on at least 1.5 hours for dinner. When Wishes is ready to start, head out onto the observation deck. What a view!

I like when we time it so that we view wishes after dinner and then come back inside and have a lovely dessert.

Sounds like a great night planned!

We have done that twice and it was so nice. Our waiter seemed to be timing our meal in order to do just that. DS was a waiter in a very nice resort restaurant and in my younger days I did formal service so it was fun watching him time all of our courses. DH wondered if he was a little slow and we just laughed and told him that the timing was priceless.

Does the observation deck have chairs or is is standing room only?

There are no chairs. It's like a long balcony, that's very VERY high! There are speakers just below the railings, so you can clearly hear the music to go with the fireworks. :thumbsup2
