Just something I noticed in November during Christmas party.
We were not attending the Christmas Party but left Be Our Guest about 20 minutes before we were supposed to leave the park. When I was leaving BOG the CM''s waiting to hand out party bands to guests asked if we needed our bands. We said no because were leaving the park. They said well you still have 20 minutes to go on rides. They told us as long as you get on the ride before 7pm you can wait on the line and ride and then leave. They encouraged us to do it. We figured we would go on 7D mine train one more time.
We had been on the mine train several times on our trip but always with the fast pass. What happened amazed me. Just about everyone who was not staying for the party was filing onto the line and many Christmas Party people as well. I thought this going to take forever. The line was HUGE! We got on the line outside on the street.
We were on the ride within about 20 minutes! That line never slowed down once. We were just were constantly walking. As a matter of fact we let people pass us because we had never seen the interactive line games and were enjoying them.
Now I know normally the standby line would crawl because of all the fast pass people. Just made me think how things would be with no fast passes at all/it has been so long. I would prefer no fast passes at all and have lines that moved at a good pace as opposed to getting to ride on 3 rides a day with very little wait and then have to run to kiosks to make additional fast pass selections. I am sure it is not that simple but they had the ability to seriously move that line along.
