First, how hard are these boats to drive? It tells you to bring a driver's licence, so does that mean if you can drive a car, you should be fine driving the boat?
My son is 17 and a half. Even though it says drivers need to be 18, is there any chance they will let him drive a boat? Will anyone say anything if I'm with him, but let him take the controls? If that's not allowed, I'd rather not get his hopes up that he'll do any driving.
What is the beach like that you go to? Are there chairs and umbrellas? Is the beach rocky? It says we see the sandy beaches, but is that where we stop?
How wet will our stuff get? Should I bring something waterproof for our cameras or other things we don't want to get wet (ie: towels, shoes)
Are water shoes/socks are a must for this beach or for the snorkelling? Last time we did a snorkelling excursion, they warned us to be careful near the rocks for the crabs. My younger son was so scared of being bitten that he barely went in the water and he loves the water.
I seem to remember reading that Mexico only allows certain sunscreens, yet the excursion 'know before you go' only says to bring sunscreen. Is there a certain brand that we should be bringing? What about other ports? Can I just bring my BananaBoat Sport from Costco?
