Still Day One

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We left off just as the Spectrum Moms arrived at Toy Story Midway Mania-- the surprise alternative ending to our night at DHS . But here was the dilemma: the standby wait time was posted as 50 minutes... if it did, indeed, take that long to get to our objective we would be exiting TSM just as the second Fantasmic was letting out! It would be a mad-dash-rush to get to the bus stop ahead of the mob!

We decided to risk it....

We joined the end of the l-o-n-g line of guests. (I guess not everyone was in that Fantasmic crowd after all!) Jess (jpfamilymom) was excited to be riding TSM for the first time. Actually, this was a new experience for the rest of us -- Good DISers that we are, we usually use FastPass. It was fun to see all the stuff you don't get to see in the FP queue.

It was also another opportunity to get acquainted with each other. We just chatted away and took advantage of the photo ops:

We realized that there were painted puzzle pieces on the floor! We each kept our eyes peeled for our TR color...

Sorry you missed F!, but I seriously think you are having enough fun in the queue of TSM to more than make up for it. Great, fun pictures.

I am going to take a guess here and say that you got out of that line in enough time to beat the crowds to the bus stop. ( At least, I hope).

More TSM queue pics! I'd only ever done the Fastpass line so I think I was actually bouncing just a little bit as we walked down that hallway.

Can you believe I've never once played Candy Land??

I loved View Master!

I think it was Jessica that remarked if you removed all the line bars, that entire area would make an incredible indoor playground for kids!

Yay! Finally got to see Mr. Potato Head!

Had to get the Pixar ball too....

Very quickly we moved through the line and had an absolute blast! Who was my ride partner? I snapped a picture of our scores and we were very close!

I’m not sure who the two beavers are LOL but if my Memory serves me correctly…Amy was the big winner of the game there!

We all had a BLAST smashing plates and popping balloons, w/ Buzz, Woody and the gang…but now it was time to go and head back to the buses…

On the way back to our resort…I spotted a hidden Mickey:

The lanterns were all lit up at Kidani awaiting our return…

Once we got back to our room, we are finished settling in and got changed into our cozy pajamas for our first Book Talk discussion of the trip.​
