Trying to get caught back up. I've been missing for a few weeks....since 2/22 to be exact. That is the day I received my long awaited kidney transplant!

After a minor setback requiring a 2d surgery, I am feeling great. My august trip will be a celebration trip. They don't recommend long traveling within 6 months....our planned trip was 5 1/2 months post transplant. They are ok with our plans so far and told us not to cancel anything. Everything (labs, output, etc) are looking good.

Yes it was...sorry for the confusion I am sure my DD will love the magnet as she is starting to really like Disney and we didn't make it on our trip in December. Thanks!!!

Day Two – Friday, January 21, 2011

I don’t recall what time we woke up today but I think the plan was to leave around 8am for Magic Kingdom so I’d say around 7am. I was surprised at how well I slept since sleeping away from home (and even at home) is usually a problem for me! We got ourselves breakfast and readied ourselves for our first peek at the castle! The only problem… it was raining! As part of our morning preparations we packed our ponchos. I had to make a stop at the gift shop to pick up a new one as I couldn’t find our old ones at home.

I don’t know exactly what time it was, but we followed Heidi’s suggested bus times and pulled up to Magic Kingdom in time for the opening show… that is if we could make it from the bus to the turnstiles! It was pouring buckets at this point so we hung out for a bit at the bus stop. I think it must have slowed down a tiny bit so we decided to go for it.

I know most of us huddled under the train station tunnel – the right side of course! I can’t remember who, Tracy was one I think, but a few of us tried to go back out into the rain to watch the opening ceremony. I think they did an abbreviated version. Once they actually let us in we made our way up Main Street:

Julie & Anne-Marie ran (or walked quickly ) ahead of the group to grab some fastpasses for Space Mountain then we all met up at Winnie the Pooh… only to find it closed! (I know the pictures say five minute wait, but it really was closed.)

We were excited to experience the new interactive queue but it would have to wait for later. We decided to head over to Peter Pan but not until after our first bathroom break of the day!

At this point we ran into someone familiar and stopped for a few pictures, but since I don’t have any, I’ll leave that story to someone else… but I do remember having to take off our ponchos. After a brief photo session we rode Peter Pan but again I don’t have pictures. I think I kept my camera tucked away more than usual due to the rain.

After PP we made our way over to Tomorrowland and rode Buzz:

I’m obviously much better at TSM than Buzz!

After Buzz we ran into another someone familiar, but again, I don’t have pictures so I’ll leave that to one of the other moms.

Then it was time for the TTA:

After the TTA it was time for our Space Mountain FPs! We made our way to Space & enjoyed a very dark ride through space. I think Tracy has some pictures…

Up next: The other moms chime in, then the group splits up & a magical photo shoot.
