I have an ADR at Tony's Town Square at 6:55 pm and afterwards we want to see the 8 pm Spectromagic. Will this time really give us enough time to eat and then be able to find a place to view the parade? When I made the reservation I was told it would give me plenty of time but I read on another thread how people are lining up an hour before so it looks like when we are trying to get in for dinner everyone else will be staking out a place? Thanks

You are correct that people will be lining up while you are still waiting to be seated for dinner.
:confused3

I would say it's possible but you won't get good seats. If the parade starts at 8pm, you would need to be waiting in the best locations from about 7pm!

As far as the food goes though, if you eat quickly I'm sure you'll make it in time as long as you don't mind standing behind crowds of people and hardly being able to see anything :lmao:

sleepingbeautymama, depending if you have small children or not (if they would have to be up front or up high to see), you could ask for outside dining at Tony's. The porch is elevated some and you could just stay there to watch the parade. You would not be 'up front' but would have a nice viewing spot. Just a thought.

Enjoy.

Lat year in Dec (supposed to be slow time) people were lined up more then an hour before. It may be a close call because you may not be seated right away either. If you want a curb seat then I say no, won't happen. But if you stand behind people then you may be ok.

I think you cutting it a bit too close - can you call to see if you can bump up the ADR even just 20 minutes or so? I would take whatever they have if it's earlier - the MK gets pretty crowded on Spectro nights after they start cutting it down to 3 showings a week for the off season... and if you haven't seen it yet - it's not to be missed! You don't want to squander your only chance by watching it on your tip toes from behind he crowd.

Thanks I'm going to call and see if there is anything earlier. My dd is 4 so I'd like to be upfront and we really want to see this. :)

We have made ADR's at tony's before the parade..probably around 6pm. I tell you we had to wait like an hour before being seated. there was a mass of people in the lobby wanting to get tables to eat before or during the parade.

we got in and the parade was almost over by the time we finished. the only thing is if you are luck you will be seated near a window or on the porch for dinner to see the parade as you eat.

What about 6:30 pm ADR's at CRT (2 people)? Will we be able to see the parade when we exit the castle?

Just called and got 6:25 pm. That's about all they had and the other restaurants were full too. :( Do you think that will be enough time now? I know my dd4 really wants to see this night parade.

I made a 7:30pm reservation for Tony's in my last Disney day.. I read in another forum that Tony's a perfect spot to watch the parade if you're sitting in the porch, which is what we'll ask for... Now I'm a little worried because I do have one small 5 year old children (DD7 is very tall, she might not have a problem).. If you've been there, how was it? It will be our 2nd day on MK and on the first we'll be staying in line for the parade, so I thought it would be nice to be seated while dinning at Tony's and watching the parade...

This is my thought - Looks like Spectro is running at 8 pm when you're there - Arrive at Tony's 30 minutes before your 6:25 ADR - so Figure be checking in at the desk BY 6:OO PM. (yes, they will let you do that)
If you are not seated by 6:45 then I would change my plans so you will not miss the Parade. Just head straight up the street to Casey's on the corner of Main Street facing the castle and get yourselves some takeout - find a spot to sit where you will have a parade view and sit down and eat. When your done have one person "hold your spots" while another entertains DD by getting her ice cream or taking her into the nearby shops to fill the time before the Parade begins.

As for missing Dinner at Tony's - I would much rather have a primo spot for Spectro. Which memory do you think a 4 year old will hang on to - A dazzeling gleeming light parade the passes right in front of her - or - a crowded resturant with average food where mom was so stressed about not getting a viewing spot for the parade that she couldn't even enjoy her meal!
