Hi there everyone!

I have decided, seeing as though I am fast approaching double figures, to start planning mine and BF trip to WDW (July and can't wait!!) :cool1:

This will be our 3rd visit to the "land of the mouse", but up until now he has refused to do the parades and the firework shows. :sad2: Not as much of a Disney freak as I am LOL!!!, :rotfl: but he has okayed it this year as this will be our last visit for a while (or so he thinks :rolleyes1 )

Anyway seeing as though I am only small (5ft exactly) can anyone give me tips on where to stand so that I can actually see and I get a little stressed out in big crowds 'cause people my size tend to get trampled on!! :rotfl2: - and if you suggest getting there early, how long before the start should I be there??

Thanks in advance

near the rose gardens seemed to be a good spot, we did that last time, and there was enough room and views for even little ones in strollers.

For the parades you may want to sit on the curb. It will be front row, and nobody in front of you. To snag a spot it could mean a good 60 min wait time. However, to see the parades up close is so worth it.

We go in early June so the crowds are not as heavy as they will be when you are going to be there but this is our strategy--for most parades you can stake out a spot at least an hour in advance. If you want to be on Main Street for the Share a Dream Come True parade, you may want to get there earlier than that. If Spectromagic is offered twice in one evening during your visit, go to the second one. It will be less crowded. The parade routes are on the park maps--use that to help you pick a spot. A lot of times we try to place ourself where the parade starts--the lines for the attractions aren't as long during the parades so once it passes you can hop on the nearest attraction with little or no waiting. The parade in AK begins and ends in Africa so if you sit there you get to see the parade twice.
If you look on the ground along the parade routes you will see a brass colored border imbedded in the ground--this is where the CM's will put up the barricades before the parade starts. If you are directly behind this line then no one can stand in front of you :)
