I have two questions and think this would be a great place to ask.
1. can anyone tell me about a prime spot to watch the spectromagic parade. I have a 3 year old and 1 year old and do not really have to sit holding a place for hours.
2. is the fantasmic dinner special really worth doing. the dinner is 22 a person and I was wonding if any one out there had any thoughts about ths.

Anywhere along Main Street is great for Spectromagic. To keep your little ones busy bring some snacks and little toys. Last November we bought hot dogs and mini corn dogs from Casey's Corner and waited for the parade. Also, a couple of CMs kept the kids entertained before the parade.

Hi!

We waited in a spot for about an hour for Spectromagic - near Liberty Tree Tavern. It got more and more crowded as it got closer - so it was worth it for us to wait. But we do not have kids. I am sure someone will have great advice for you on this.

We also did the dinner package for Fantasmic. The food was good - and since we usually eat dinner at a Table Service restaurant, we probably would have spent that much anyway. We ate at Mama Melrose and there was a lot of food for the money. For fantasmic, we did get to sit in a reserved section, and the seats were good, but I'm sure we could have gotten seats just as good without the package. We just didn't have to wait in line. We waited in our seats. As it POURED! :-) Have fun!

1. If you are visiting during the summer and there are two parades go to the 2nd parade and catch it in Frontier Land toward the end of the route you will be able to walk up and get a front row seat within minutes of the parade reaching the area. I've done this several times. Although, your kids are young and they might not stay up that late.

2. Don't know never tried the Fantasmic Dinner Package!

We always do the Fantasmic package for a few reasons:
1. We're going to eat anyway, and probably at a table service restaurant. It doesn't cost any extra to get the pass, so why not?
2. We can get some extra rides in while everyone else is waiting in line for Fantasmic. Instead of showing up 60-90 minutes or more before the show, we can go 30 minutes ahead and still have great seats.
3. We're right by the exit when the show is over.

I've never done the Fantasmic package as I don't care for Fantasmic.

The best place to watch any MK parade is on Main Street, but if you can't swing that, head over into Frontierland. The gate next to Splash is the end location for Spectro (and the start for Share a Dream Come True) and you can get a spot there.

Have fun!

We have done the dinner package everytime that we have gone at a peak time and have been very happy we did it. I agree with the liberty tavern area for spectro.

Spectromagic viewing along anywhere along main street is another great spot. CM will keep the little ones entertained and they'll have a blast waiting. Having items for them to play with and snack on will also help if you deceide to do a wait.
Fantasmic, we have always done the package and have never been disappointed, and we won't have to wait in a extremely long line to get in. Well worth doing the package .

Although I viewed most of the Spectromagic show on main street, near the end, I walked up to the Castle, and I thought it really looked great having everything pass by in front of the castle. I think that might be an option. Sit in front of the castle looking right at it as the parade passes by with the castle in the background.

We always watch Spectro from Fontierland because it is not mobbed like Main Street. We caught the 2nd Spectro on a EMH in August and the street was EMPTY, we practically had the entire thing to ourselves....very cool.

Spectro: just the other side of the bridge leading in to Libery Square. No one is allowed on the bridge, so you get a good view of the parade as it crosses over.

Fantasmic: we did the dinner package and found it very worthwhile. Nice to have the section of seats reserved for diners, and hey, you gotta eat anyway. May as well snag a reserved seat.
