So I'm a planner. I've got two runners doing Dopey and I am the cheering them on for the full.

Does anyone have any tips/tricks/etc for seeing my runners the most during the full?

I can follow them both on our phones...so tracking them is super easy but I want to know the best way for me to get from MK to AK then to Epcot. I'd rather see them several times than sit at the finish line twiddling my thumbs. Plus I've got amazing poster ideas! I do have an AP so getting into parks won't be an issue.

Thanks in advance :)

I did. The miles don't seem to match up to the map vs the course map. Which is why I came here for all the wise rD regulars :-)

I asked this also.. First off, how fast are your runners? I think getting from MK to AK is the one that can get you if they are quicker. The suggestion I got was to see me in the MK area, the just head to epcot, spend some time and then watch your runner at the finish or maybe inside epcot??

In the past, the Disney tracking is not very accurate and gets bogged down race morning. I wouldn't bother trying to get to AK. My husband follows me every year. How fast are you? Assuming the course doesn't change, he starts by cheering for me at the Epcot parking lot, front of MK near the Christmas tree so I know to look left before turning down main street, in front of Polynesian, at the UK (he buys me a beer - 2 sips), and then at the finish line. I know he books it from UK to the finish line. I don't think he'll be able to make it this year with our 1 yo in a stroller.

Swimfly, I think I saw on the RD blog that the courses will be the same, just need to see what the 10k is.. There was a rumor going around that the 10k was going to start at WWoS and then end at epcot. But the event area of WDW marathon page says start/ finish epcot..

My dad was able to get to three locations without rushing too much. He started with outside of the castle (had Chear package), then outside of Animal Kingdom and finally at the finish. He said the only tie up was the buses to Epcot from Animal Kingdom. He said a lot of people were getting frustrated about missing runners and were taking resort buses and switching to Epcot from a resort.

I do sign up for the disney runner tracking but I actually follow my runners on the find my friends app for the iphone, so it's a real time gps locator. I've done many runs (including most recently Princess) where the disney tracker doesnt work fully.

I've never tried to get to AK (I don't drive at Disney so use Disney transportation.) I started outside Epcot and saw them there, monorailed to the TTC then to MK then monorailed again back to Epcot and walked thru and cheered at the Boardwalk bridge (With time for breakfast, which I really needed by that time, at Fresh) then headed to outside Epcot for the finish area.

I've done this a couple of times and the people I cheer for are in the 11-12 mm or so.
