Spectator Question

Hello! I am running in my first Disney race during the Disneyland Half Marathon weekend. I am running the 5K and my sister is running the 1/2. I want to be at the finish line to see my sister as this is her very first 1/2. I'm debating on whether to buy a ChEAR Squad package or just try to find a spot near the finish line. For those who have been a spectator, what would you recommend? If I buy a ChEAR Squad package, do I still have to go early to stake out a good spot? If I don't buy a ChEAR Squad package, how easy/hard is it to get a good spot at the finish line? TIA!!!

I found this which might explain their different packages....

She talks about the different packages...apparently the most expensive one does offer reserved areas...however I would really check it out as things seem to change from year to the next.
