Hey y’all,

Four of us (all adults) are going on a DC on the Dream in December. Just curious if anyone has stayed in any of the following cabins below (highlighted in bright pink)

I hear not all Family Verandah rooms have a pull down/ murphy bed in them , so I’m wondering about my limited choices , and would hate for two of us two be stuck in a room that only sleeps “three people”

Also, is deck 8 a good choice for us if we want to be away from pool , and other noises. Deck 9 wasn’t available unfortunately.

If you have 4 people indicated on your reservation, the DCL website will not show you rooms that only sleep 3. I believe most of those category rooms sleep 4, however - a queen bed (2), a sofa bed (1), and a bunk bed (1).

If you want a room with 4 separate beds (queen, sofa, bunk, and murphy) you'll need to do a search for rooms that sleep 5. If you click on a specific room, you'll see "sleeps 3 to 5" - that means it has the murphy bed. If it shows "sleeps 3 to 4" it means there's no murphy bed.

It’s not one of the listed ones, but we once had 8098 on the Dream and it definitely did not have the pull-down. The family verandah rooms definitely don’t all have it. If you want to find out for sure which do, as mentioned above try entering as a party of 5 and see which ones it offers then go back and try to book one of those are available still when you’re a party of 4. When we tried it that way, it wouldn’t offer us any of the ones with the Murphy beds when we went back and changed to a party of 4.
Deck 8 is our favorite. We love the position on the ship and always find it very quiet.

IF you go through as if you are making a booking you can see for yourself.

DCL has updated the info they now provide for each stateroom when you are in the online booking process of choosing a stateroom. When you click on a specific stateroom it tells you information about that stateroom, including the bed configuration.

For example, on the Dream room 8606 has:

Stateroom 1: 8606
Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
( Category 04B )
Sleeps 4 to 5 - 299 sq ft Including Verandah
Private Verandah

Icon of a bed Queen Bed, Single Convertible Sofa, Upper Berth Single Pull-Down Bed, Single Wall Pull-Down Bed
Icon of a person sleeping in a bed Connecting Staterooms
Icon of a toilet Split Bathroom
An icon of a bathtub with a shower Round Tub with Shower

The "Single Wall Pull-Down Bed" is the murphy bed.

Some rooms with murphy beds only sleep 4, btw, as they don't have the upper berth bed.

As others have noted, their system sometimes will not show you full availability of the murphy bed rooms when you put in less than 4 or 5 people (and 4 may not get you all of the rooms for 5). However, I was able to get it to show me at least some just now with only 2. I don't know if they have fixed the system or if it is a matter of how full the ship is in the category I was searching or what, but we had issues previously when searching and would have to search for 5 [this was months ago for the Wish].

8608 no murphy bed
8110 no murphy bed
(sorry I did the search of midship so those are the only 3 from your list that were checkable)

I suggest you also consider other factors, like connecting door.

Once you decide on a short list of stateroom options, Google and Youtube search for them to confirm the information. You will probably be able to find reviews of them, some of which may mention the murphy bed. Also, someone may have done a video of the room, in which case you could see if the murphy is there. Presumably DCL's info is correct, but it is always nice to have visual confirmation or a review specifically referring to it. Also, the reviews may mention other things, like a crew door across the hall that results in a lot of noise. Or that it is near the laundry room and that makes it noisy.

In the future you can always book it as if you are booking it with 5 people and it will then easily show you all the available rooms with the Murphy beds

When you click on a stateroom you're interested in during booking, you'll see a description of the types of beds in that exact stateroom. The murphy bed is referred to as "Single Wall Pull-Down Bed",
