We're planning on trying out several CS locations that we've never been to before - looking over the menus (here and on AllEars I have some questions that hopefully you all can answer.
Players are:
DH who will eat anything
DD (age 12) who will try anything
myself - picky eater (think traditional American food nothing "weird")
Katsura Grill (CS Japan)
- how is the sushi? It will be DD's first time having it and while I know it won't be the same as what you'd get if we were at a TS - is it good or will it be a 'bad' intro?
On All Ears it lists "tokyo sushi sampler" can I safely assume that's the 2 kinds of sushi? and does it come with anything else?
also they have "
Sushi Combos - freshly made sushi rolls served with a refreshing Japanese Cold Noodle Salad" are those combos just one kind of sushi with the noodles? Ideally I'd like her to try both types of the sushi. I know it's weird I just like to go in prepared.
Lotus Blossom Cafe (CS China)
I've read not so great reviews on this location - are we better off just getting the general Asian food in Sunshine Seasons? Which she's had and enjoyed? Or is it worth going to/ trying out?
Tangerine Cafe (CS Morocco)
All Ears has this listing:
"Morrocan Kefta Sandwich - Seasoned ground beef, grilled and served with fresh salsa and fries (Spicy Harissa optional) $9.99
Now that might be something I'd eat - it seems odd they'd serve it with "fries" is that accurate? Also this item doesn't appear on the Dis boards menus so is it there or not?
Wolfgang Puck Express (DTD CS)
- I've read the Marketplace location is the better one - is that accurate?
- Is the Mac & Cheese really good? Is it large enough to share? - it's described as a "large" plate. Also it's listed on the All Ears menu but not on the Disboards one - is it there or not? I love Mac & Cheese as does DD! We're both a "normal" size with average appetites however we do both love M&C!
La Cantina de San Angel (CS Mexico)
We tried this basic location years ago (before they redid it) and didn't enjoy it - has it improved? As I recall we didn't love the food especially as everything seemed covered in black beans - are there still a lot of black beans in everything?
