Specialty Cruise Changes???

I've noticed the changes in the Specialty Cruises, especially regarding the number of guests. Are they being really strict about these numbers even when several of your group is small children?

We did a Cruise with 11 or 12 people last year (3 children, 2 small teenagers) and had PLENTY of room. Have the boats changed? Can I book the Cruise for 10 and hope to take 11 or 12? Does anyone know? Or will I most likely have to leave the extra person(s) at the Dock?

Thanks in advance!

When we took our Wishes Cruise the last week of August, our captain was explaining that we were on the 'larger' pontoon boat that had the transponder for the music, while the smaller pontoon boats had no music.

That may be what they are referring to. I think there is a difference and you should make very certain which size boat you have to ensure that everyone has a seat.

I was lucky enough to get an Illuminations cruise for 10/6 and I was told with the changes made (for cruises after 10/1) that the limitations to the sizes were definite. I specifically asked if I had a few children (under the ages of 5) could I add 1 or 2 extra adults. They said no - that it used to be allowed in the past, but no more :confused3

Good luck - maybe call the marina directly to see if after 10/1 there was any flexibility.

This morning I called and was lucky enough to get the pontoon boat (Breathless was not available) for Saturday Dec 10th for an Illuminations cruise. He asked me how many would be on the boat and I told him at the moment it was only me and my mother, but then asked if I could find some more people who were interested could I add them later. He made a point of saying the number had now changed from 12 to 10, so I asked him if that included small kids and he said yes, it was 10 total, no matter how small, (so I have eight extra seats). He also told me you now have to call back at 14 days (Nov 26th for me) to verify exactly how many people you will have so they can coordinate the number of life vests.

He said they only have two boats being used for the Illumination cruises at this time. He also made a comment that even though I booked it at the current price that prices were subject to change without notice. :confused3
