We are currently at BWV on a pair of reservations: 3 nights booked on DVC points, 7 nights booked through Interval International (exchange). Both reservations are for the same room type, "1BR Preferred View." My hope was to remain in the same room for the entire 10 night stay -- but Member Services could not "link" the reservations due to the different sources and no guarantee could be made. We put a request for the same room on both reservation comments and hoped for the best.

Calling a few days prior to travel to confirm the requests we were given a key phrase to drop at check-in: "I have a continuing stay." This Front Desk lingo refers to a guest's intentions to stay beyond the initial reservation but without the benefit of linked reservations.

Seemed to work perfectly. Today is that cross-over point between the two reservations. Under my door this morning I found two envelopes: one check-out paperwork (charges/receipt) and the other with new room keys. Yeah! No room change! :thumbsup2

I'm glad this all worked out for you. But, your post makes me wonder if there is any other "special vocabulary" or key phrases that would make it a little easier to get the requests you wanted?:flower3:

Good to know....

I would imagine it would be in Disney's best interest....to NOT have you
change rooms....this way they don't have to clean it.
unless you were paying cash rates(CRO)

I think it would save on the room cleaners time!! Especially w/ the larger 1 and 2 bedroom rooms.

I'm glad it worked so well for you. When I've had this situation on at least 5 occasions, I'd had to go to the desk and check in again which was not a big deal.
