This will be my 1st time at UO with kids. Do they have any special things for the kids that I should know about? Things like letting tink out at Disney. From what I remember it was geared more toward adults and older kids, but I could be wrong. My kids are 8 and 5, both love rides of all kinds. We will be there the weekend and week before Easter, when the park is open late. Do they have fireworks or any other night time shows?
Thanks for your help.

The superheroes parade is cool at IOA. Then they do autographs. Watch your park guide for times.

Thanks Damo, a thread like this on the Disney forum ended up with a ton of pages, here it gets 1 reply. Are these parks for young kids? 8 and 5

HI TANK!! My children were 4 and 6 when we went last year. This year they will be 5 and 8. Let me tell you that our children had a BLAST!!!! I cant tell you how many times we talk about Universal. They have mentioned it everyday since we got back in April. It took them 2 weeks to get over having to leave. :rotfl2: My youngest one LOVED LOVED LOVED the E.T. ride and we rode it again and again. They also loved Jimmy Neutron, Shrek, Back to the Future, Twister, and MIB. She was too short to ride MIB last year so I am hoping this year we will be able to get her on the ride. I highly suggest staying onsite if you can to get the FOTL access and also because my youngest went back to the room everyday with my DH to get a little nap. I also suggest renting the double stroller while you are there. They get very tired of walking and it looks like a little car so they really enjoyed having it to sit in and ride, and I loved having something to store our bags on. One place they loved to eat was Islands resturant at the Royal Pacific. They have a bed the kids can lay on and watch tv while they eat. The characters are always out. I suggest buying them an autograph book. My kids still have theirs from last year. If you have any questions (since we have kids of similar ages just let me know) I will try to answer.

The parks offer something for every age. A lot of the rides are "thrill" rides, but they do have children's play areas and there are character meet and greets. Just yesterday, we followed several of the characters from Madagascar.

I'm not sure about all of the special things for children, since I don't have any kids but I was just there yesterday and I seen tons of strollers so I think your children will enjoy it.
