We are doing a big family trip to Disneyland Dec 3-7. I'm planning some special surprises for the kids. I have stockings from the disney outlet, reindeer mouse ears, and other goodies to fill the stockings. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about how to present the stockings...I was thinking maybe a treasure hunt thru the park leading back to the room where someone has snuck back to hang the stockings (we will be staying at GCH). Maybe a character could hand them the first clue? Has anyone ever done anything like this...Any other ideas for special surprises? As always, appreciate the input and creative ideas....

Early in the trip, I would go to the Reindeer Roundup and talk directly to Mrs. Claus. She wanders and socializes freely though that area without a character wrangler. She might be the best one to help you in your quest. She just spent 5 -7 minutes socializing with us last year when we popped in to do pics with the Man in Red. He is a really wonderful Santa, BTW. He also covers the GCH, where we go for formal photos every year.

Also, while at the Roundup, maybe you could arrange to take them to go there and buy cookies to decorate. They have benches and picnic tables set up for this, while a show spontaneously goes on. Something could be slipped into the cookie kit when purchased by a parent - the cookie is in a tray with little containers of icing and sprinkles.

Hope that helps!

Thank You...that is a great idea! The cookie kit would be fun and an easy way to slip in a clue!

This is the CUTEST idea. We're gonna be there at the same time and I hadn't even THOUGHT of this. Dunno how to present them tho. You could have them meet santa and then put them out one night and leave a note that said he loved meeting them or something?

I was just thinking that you could go and get them and stuff the note into them at the cashier's counter - or slip the notes to the cashier before hand. Actually there are CM's hanging out around the area to help guests with the cookies and coloring, so maybe pull one of them aside and slip them the notes?

Or you could slip Mrs. Santa the notes while they are busy watching the reindeer!

I like the cookie idea...It would be easy to slip a note into the cookie decorating box....I would like to maybe do it at the end of the morning when we are ready to go back to the room for a rest....then have 3 or 4 clues that lead them back to the room...Where else could I slip a few clues on the way back to the room?
