Special requests at restaurants

Is it ok ( and are phone numbers available?) to contact a restaurant a day or so before your ADR to make a special request?

If you're talking about ordering a cake or something along those lines then check the cake stickie. If you're talking about dealing with special dietary needs then contact Special Diets. If something else then you'll have to explain what you're actually needing for us to give advice because I can't think of other types of things that would require contacting restaurants ahead of time. Restaurants no longer do things like special custom menus or other gifts like those. If you're wanting to do something like have them present a ring for a proposal then you'd talk to your server about it when you arrive (excuse yourself to go to the restroom to make arrangements).

What kind of special request?

WDW has a lot of different procedures for doing this and sometimes you need to go through another department and not the restaurant itself.

There's no way to even try to answer this without knowing what the request is.
