Special perks at Disney Hotels??? (other than EE)

We have always enjoyed the character meet n greets in the DLH lobby. Several of our all time favorite DL pictures of our children with characters were taken in the lobby of the DLH. Our 2012 Christmas arrival at the DLH was special, Goofy was at the bellhop stand to welcome us to the DLH!. He assisted with loading our luggage on the luggage cart(F U N) . Then, when we entered the hotel lobby, there was Mickey to greet us!. There was no doubt, we were at DL. Our sons were 9 and 10 yrs old at the time, they were all smiles before we ever checked in! These are just a few of the reasons we stay at the DLH or we stay home.

Awesome! In all the times we've stayed at DLH I can't recall being in the right place at the right time for character meet and greets. Is there a usual time they're there?

The Christmas 2012 character meets upon our arrival were pure luck. When we check in to the DLH we always ask for the DLH lobby character schedule. This is available to hotel guests only! The times are "Rough" which means, the character will be in the lobby area somewhere at the given time. You may have to look for them. We have been fortunate to have encountered Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Alice over the years. The character might be in the lobby area at 2:15pm, they are usually not there longer than twenty minutes. We do enjoy our DLH stays

Do the other DIsney hotels have lobby character meets?

They probably do. I have seen characters in the grand common areas. PPH should have as well do to having Surf's Up breakfast character meals. We book All of our trips through Walt Disney Travel. They can give the Scoop on anything and everything Disney.
