Special Orders at Counter Service

How are counter service places with special orders - the hold the mayo, no tomato, skip the sauce kind of requests?

When they're not busy, I've seen the CMs at CS places go well above-and-beyond the call for us, even so far as researching information about ingredients used in their offerings, regarding our special dietary needs. Beyond that, as long as you're not asking them to adjust something that is substantially pre-made off-site, you should be relatively successful with such requests: Any "construction" related requests, for things they'll be making for you fresh, will almost surely be honored.

I've found it to be hit or miss. I had a bunch of trouble getting a burger with no bun at Cosmic Rays once. Due to allergies I needed to not have it be on a bun at all. Usually things are served without condiments and you add them yourself. At the resort CS we had much better luck when we needed something changed like served on a different type of bread because they actually have a kitchen there where in lots of the park CS they only have very limited things on hand. Lots of the things like salads are pre-done and you can't get something left off.
