Special Offerings at Disney

I am looking at the special offerings that Disney offers like Disney Early Magic Morning, Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining package, Tiana's Riverboat Party etc. Do you have to pay for a 1 year old? I don't mind paying but it seems like a lot of money to pay when a 1 yr old can't exactly enjoy all the offerings, like riding mine train.

No; only guests who are old enough to need a park ticket need to pay for special events.

But for Dining, you do need to let the CM know you'll have a 1 year-old as part of the party so they have an exact count.

Thanks for the reply. So if I am booking Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package I book for all 6 (including infant)? Or do I wait until I get there? And with Tiana's Riverboat party & EMM I just book 5 (and not include infant)? Sorry for all the questions, I am just very confused because I know when booking TS reservations I have to include the infant.

For prepaid Dining events, you should call to book. Give the number of paid diners + an infant.

You can book online for 6 - it will ask you who is going to be there just like a dining reservation, and will only charge you for the adults & children not infants. We did Tiana's and I had my 12 month old, and had no issues.

This is good to know, thanks. If you don't mind me asking, how was Tiana's?

I took my then 4 yo DD and 12 month old who has food allergies.

My 4 yo absolutely LOVED it. Still talks about it. Of course, she's princess obsessed, but getting to eat ice cream, mickey bars, cotton candy, etc was a really fun afternoon for her (we skipped lunch btw). We watched the parade from a better vantage point at another time during the trip (and have seen it many times) so the only downside is the far-away viewing and that didn't bother me. The character interaction with Tiana and Naveen were priceless, especially after the parade when they came on the boat. It wasn't crowded, and the kids all had a LOT of fun - dancing, playing music, etc.

I mention the allergies because I felt their allergy options were very limited. They had no options for the cupcakes/other treats, and their ice cream sub was a sorbet. Had my 4 yo had the food allergies and I paid for her, I would have been very disappointed in her options.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like a great afternoon and a good way to meet Tiana and Naveen.
