We have just booked the DLH from 20th Dec - 24th Dec!!!! Very excited and can't wait to start planning for our fabulous trip as you may have gathered from my previous post
When I spoke to the very friendly and helpful lady on phone (who gave us 2 nights free offer too!) she asked if there was a special occasion, I said no, just to celebrate Christmas. But I am now thinking I wish I had said something as I've previously seen people saying they got a gift or balloons and stuff in their rooms because of special occasions.
I know I can't just make something up but it is one of our son's birthdays in the new year (7th jan) and being that time of year we usually do do something for him over the Christmas or New Year holidays for his birthday. Do you think that would count as a special occasion for us? Or shall I just leave it as it is, because she did say she was marking on our booking that we are "nice people" and requesting an upper floor etc.
Anyone else experienced this? Also wondered whether to ask for a gift for each of the children to be left in our room one morning as a start to the festivities! haha
