Special Mousekeeping envelopes

Here's another suggestion that kills two birds with one stone. I've been picking up Disney stickers at the dollar store. We've got a 3 hour plane ride so I'm packing the stickers and plain envelopes and markers in my carry on and I'm going to put the kids to work decorating the envelopes on the plane. It should help keep them busy for a little while at least.

I think you meant http://www.arwolff.com/heidi/

I use the pastel card size envelopes I get from Wally World (Wal-Mart) and print Disney Characters on them and the words "Thank You Mousekeeping." I do it in a creative way so that it draws attention. I usually use Word Art for the effects. I then punch a hole in the top corner of the envelope.

I cut a foot long piece of colored ribbon. I place about 5 pieces of individually wrapped candy in tulle and tie the top of it with that ribbon. I thread the ribbon through the hole and back around the candy where I tied it to attach it firmly to the envelope.

I place my money in the envelope and leave it in the bathroom on the edge of the tub so they cannot miss it.

We always get the cutest towel critters.

They sound beautiful and so special. What do you leave for mousekeeping per day?

We leave $1.00 per person, so this year it will be $5.00 a day. The envelopes are great b/c you can pre-fill, one less thing you have to do while on your trip! This year we will be there around the Holidays, so I was thinking of leaving a small gift each day. Small like a stocking stuffer small. Some of the things I was thinking of...choc.covered spoon, small snowman pin( I would stick w/ snowmen- just incase they don't celebrate X-Mas),cute note paper, Lindt candy, stuff like that. Lets face it, its a hard, yucky job, they probally don't get thanked enough,so if this puts a smile on their face.....its all good :goodvibes !

allaboutmm,

That is the sweetest thing I have ever heard. What a nice thing to do and I bet so appreciated. I like the idea so much I think I will do it for our trip next month. What a nice way to say thank you for a job that often goes without thanks. :flower:

Thank you all for the great envelope ideas. I can wait to use them next month. I always tip mousekeeping, but this makes it alittle bit special for them. My DD5 will love to "be in charge" of this!!

I made thank you cards and I have room to write something if needed. I will post the picture as soon as I figure out how to do it

Those are so cute. Mouse for less has some too. And they have some you can do with just paper.

Not sure what the issue was....

:cool1:
Enjoy!!

My wife and I designed our own Mousekeeping Envelopes using
graphics found via google.com. The tip envelopes were a big hit
with the Mousekeepers and we noticed that the woman that did
our room the previous day still had the envelope we had left on
her cart.

If you were curious what graphic we used it was Aladdin.

I just finished shopping for my Mousekeeping gifts.
-a cute snowman oven mitt
-small picture frame
-a date book
-small snowman made out of jingle bells
-pair of snowman socks
I hope my Mousekeeper likes the items. Even if they don't, I am sure the $ will also ease the pain! :goodvibes
