Well, I did not do the member cruise, and I will not be doing homecoming.
I would love to do them both, but it is just a matter of not being informed of them early enough.

Did the Member Cruise and had a blast!

Had a trip planned in early May and since we were driving down it was easy to change plans to attend the Homecoming.

poohstx I know you were on the cruise with us - are you going to the homecoming?

We will not be able to attend. We had already made vacation plans to go with brother in-law and family on a trip to Disneyland that week.
We did have a GREAT time on the cruise!! Did you notice the picture of the couple in the Vacation Magic after the cruise? That is US!!

I remember that picture! The cruise was great and I'm hoping that the same great planning goes into this event.

I had a great time on the Member Cruise and can't wait to go to the Member Homecoming.
At first, I had plans to be there the week before but called and lucked out with the ressies change and was also able to get my ticket.
I'm hoping to run into quite a few familiar faces at Member Homecoming!

We did not go on the members cruise but we are going to MH. We already had a March trip booked but decided to attending the MH anyway.

We'll go down as a family but only DH & I will attend the event. It didn't seem geared towards children -- at least not the night at Epcot. I know my DS3 (he'll be 4 then) would be bored and therefore we wouldn't have a good time. This way, they will go to the cubs den and we'll go to the MH. A win-win situation for all of us. And, we'll be able to spend the rest of the time with them at the various parks -- using our AP's.

We are SO looking forward to it.

If DVC would have come up with another DVC cruise for sometime in 2004, I would have made sure to have attended! Need at least 8 months notice though.

We did not attend the cruise but are planning on going to the member homecoming. It sounds like fun. Dh and I will be leaving the kids home (for the first time-Yikes) with grandma.

I will buy our tickets in the couple of weeks. We are booked at WLV but I may change it over to SS.

Didn't do the cruise and can't do homecoming. I am not a cruiser...it just doesn't appeal to me at this time.

The homecoming sounded interesting but the timing was not good. DVC knows members take advantage of that 11 month, and even the 7 month window. I don't know about the rest of you that fly, but we usually buy our tickets shortly after we make our ressies - it's just cheaper that way.

Homecoming wasn't even announced until the 7 month window had passed - even only 6 months out. For me to get a good airfare to go would be difficult. For me to try and rearrange my vacation plans...already planned out for 2004...even more so.

I know they only planned on 4000 tickets, and maybe that's why they announced it so close so that there weren't many people they had to turn away. But I think that others like myself would have gone, had much more notice been given.

We didn't do the cruise because we didn't have enough points at the time. Can't do the Homecoming because we already have ressies for May 1-9 with other family members. I have been waiting for the next DVC cruise. Hopefully they will give a little more notice on the next big member event.

I will attend the MH solo and a week later return with DH and DS's for our scheduled vacation.
