Special gifts for kids?

Is there a way to have special gifts waiting in the room for kids when you arrive at the resorts?
I would like to have GOH badges, autograph books, Fat Pens, and pin laynards waiting for DD and DN when we arrive .

If you are staying in a concierge room, then the concierge can set this up for you. You can also get in touch with Shirley from theperfectgift.cc, or Gifts of a Lifetime, or Pixie Gifts. I've sued Shirley and HIGHLY recommend her!

Ducklite- I had to laugh when I read you "sued" Shirley and highly recommend her- maybe it's too early in the morning- I found a chuckle there!

I just ordered our GOH badges from Gifts of a Lifetime- they do say they can deliver your items to your room for a $20 charge- I'm not sure if they have everything on your list but if you're not concierge that might help. Now a question for Poly visitors- we are hoping to stay there or at the BC this September. Should I book now and hope a lower rate comes out or wait a bit? We also really need Non-Smoking (two asthmatic children) and with the renovations on some of the buildings I wasn't sure if one is better than the other for non-smoking. Our children will be 8,5,4 in September- any suggestions?

Hi Sharon,

I'm sure ducklite meant she's used not sued Shirley (lol Anne) especially since Anne recommended her to me and I've used her to set up a surprise goody bag for our arrival at the Polynesian.

I can also say they were fabulous. I had a basket set up with autograph books, pens, badges, beanies, t-shirts and some snacks for each child. I had her do one basket, this saves on the delivery. I spoke to her several times and she was great.

I also set up with the concierge staff at AKL to have a different animal beanie left at each of my sons beds for each night of our stay.

They too were awesome in setting this up.

Can't wait to see it all when we arrive.

LOL - I am queen of the typos.. at least we can edit posts here - the other day I sent an email and mistakenly typed "moist" instead of "most"

That's how much Gifts Of A Lifetime charge for international shipping - I checked as I'm desperate to get one for DD2 (DD1 already has one) - but not that desperate

Can you look into doing one of the baskets and have it delivered to your hotel upon your arrival.

Delivery charge would probably be about $20 or $30 for the entire basket.

Thanks Lizzie - but we're staying in a villa for two weeks before heading over to the Poly for a couple of days at the end of the holiday and we won't know the address of the villa till we arrive

I'll just have to wait til we get there !

Oh, I thought you wanted to have it delivered for when you were at WDW.

I called to have mine set up in the beginning of March, for delivery on May 9 at the Poly.

Just spoke to them yesterday and my basket is all ready and waiting to be delivered that day.

Do you have to send them the items or do they pick them up for you? how does this work?

I just called the concierge staff and told them what I wanted to do. They took it from there.

All they needed was a budget and a credit card.

The concierge staff is not charging me for the service. At AKL, I'm having an animal beanie for each child left at their pillow each night. The concierge staff is doing all the shopping at the gift shop and then arranging with housekeeping to leave 2 identical beanies each night at turndown. There is no charge from the concierge staff to do this. Each beanie is approximately $11.

The basket that I'm having done through Shirley at theperfectgift.cc, is for when we arrive at the Polnesian. We are doing the polynesian first for 4 nights then switching over to AKL.
I contacted Shirley directly about the basket.

I have 4 kids, so the basket will consist of 4 autograph books
4 fat pens, 4 badges, something from each of their favorite characters (Buzz,Woody,Goofy and tinkerbell), some pins, some Mickey snacks. All in all when she called me it was about $150, plus the delivery to the hotel. Frankly, I thought that was good considering the amount of stuff in there.

I was wondering, is it only concierge that will do this for you? When we check-in at AKL for the first part of our trip, I would love for them to give my kids a guest of honor badge. I would set it up with them ahead of time & they could bill it to my room.

If the shipping wasn't so outragous I would order them now from GOL, or any other place. I already have lanyards, pins, & autograph books with pens, so the last thing I would like for them to have is a badge with their names.

Anyone non-concierge ever had a resort do this for them?
