Trying to come up with some memorable & special extras to do with our two daughters for our next trip. They will be 3 years old (second trip) & 1 year old (first trip). Obviously my 1 year old will not remember much, if anything, but the photos and stories will be precious to our family.

I have a list already, just wanted to see if I am missing anything: (edited to add suggestions received on this thread that I am definitely going to do)

-Haircuts on Main Street (first haircut package for my 1 year old)
-Sillhouettes
-Drawing of my 1 year old in Liberty Square (my toddler got hers done last year)
-Character meal at Crystal Palace
-Princess meal at Akershus
-Autograph book for my toddler

Any other special things we are missing? We are big fans of character meals & just looking for some special things to add to our photos & memories. Thanks! :)

Your three year old could do bippity boppity botique.

If your kids are afraid of the noise of fireworks (Or even if they aren't) Try a pirate and pals tour. I've heard nothing but rave reviews of it.

Edit: Fan of character meals, eh? 1900 park fare for dinner has cinderella, the prince, the tremaines... It's one of the best character meals I've had. I don't have to tell you how awesome it would be to have pics of your kids with prince charming

For my DD4 I've been telling her that only girls seen displaying their best behavior are given an invite to a Princess dinner. The night before our dinner I plan on leaving her an invite from a princess to have dinner. Then when we take our midday break the day of our dinner DD's fairy godmother is going to visit and leave her a special ball gown.

:rotfl:

Be sure to ask for 'pixie dust' when you get hair cuts at Harmony Barber Shop.
Maybe start a tradition if you plan on repeat visits - our girls got lanyards with pins years ago and bring their lanyards every year to Disney and trade all of them (they look at them all year long until we return again). They are teenagers now and still enjoy trading. We also do the silhouettes every year - we are so glad we did this and can compare them each year as they grow. I think that these are also great value- an inexpensive Disney souvenir.
Hair wraps are fun (1 year old probably not enough hair though ;) )
Horse and carriage ride (we went at POFQ- fun)- reasonable price
Have fun making memories. It's cliche, but they really do grow up too quickly! Disney keeps them (and us) young :)

Thanks for posting this! I love all that I am learning by following threads- we are TOTALLY going to book the Pirates and Pals, my kids will LOVE it.:thumbsup2

Last Halloween, we were all Peter Pan characters -my hubby is Hook and I am Tiger Lily in my avatar, our son was Smee and DD1 Tink, DD2, Peter Pan (yes a girl and she loved it)

Thank you-these are all such great ideas! Please keep them coming :)

Not sure we can afford BBB. I was planning to bring princess dresses for both of them though :)

Love 1900 Park Fare! I totally forgot about that one! We had been there before we had children ;)

I love this idea & I hope you don't mind me stealing it for my toddler!!

We loved the pirates and pals cruise.
Pirates League we enjoyed more than BBB for DD3 and as a bonus it was cheaper!
Autographs books are a must for us-the ones with the photo slots, and the ones this year look really nice. We have however decided this trip we will do family autograph books not one per child-3 children with 4 autograph books each got $$$$

Agreed on the pirate's league. Much cheaper, and still fun. As for BBB, you can still use your own dress, as far as I know (and not pay for one of theirs.)

Another idea would be the family magic tour. It runs a few hours, costs about 30 bucks (Your kids might still be free, you'll have to check) and might be a hit with the 3 year old.

Love the autograph book idea for my toddler! I forgot how much I loved to use these as a child in WDW :)

I"m going to look into the Pirates League-thanks!

I'm dying to take a tour, but not sure I want to spend a few hours of our trip with kids doing one. As selfish as this sounds, I'm wanting to do the Keys to the Kingdom Tour on a future trip-just my DH & I!!

ETA: I just looked into the Pirates Cruise-its possible my toddler might be afraid of the pirates! Also, not sure how she would respond to the fireworks. She was quite scared of the noise last year.

The Family Magic tour was tons of fun especially for Peter Pan fans. It isn't so much a tour as a fun scavenger hunt. When I did it, we were taken for a quick detour to ride Buzz. I think it is perfect for a 3 year old.

We did the Pirate Cruise in Aug 2013 and now have to do it again this coming Aug. My DS- 12, absolutely loved it. The 'pirates' are far from scary and there is only one on your boat so you don't have to be right up with them. You also get a decent dessert and meet Hook/Smee/Pan. It's a great place to view the fireworks and you won't get the noise.

Maybe something from the Disney Florist if affordable. Fireworks at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT but apart from that I think you have got some good idea already. :goodvibes
