I was looking at the park hours for Epcot in mid august and there were special event hours listed for 7:45am-9am. Park opens at 9am. Any idea what this special event is? Seems to be a common theme in most of the parks in august actually.

Sounds like you found the Early Magic Morning hours for Epcot. Currently, they only do this in MK Fantasyland. There have been musings that they would do this in Epcot for the new Frozen stuff, Soarin', and possibly Test Track. Do you have a link?

I haven't seen anything announced yet so my guess is we're going to see some EMM for the other parks. I kind of like this new breakfast attraction dining option. Now I wonder if they will start to let people use dining credits for it :)

Maybe frozen mornings at epcot?

epcot is so huge though, how much can you really get done in just over an hour and get something to eat..

If it's just FEA, Soarin', and Test Track, I bet you could get in a couple rides of each one. I would consider this, because DS loves Soarin'. He would love to just be able to ride it over and over. If we could get FEA in without using an FP+, that would be a huge bonus. The MK one isn't as appealing.

I can guarantee that would sell incredibly well too with FEA being an option. It will be interesting if this indeed comes true.

As much as I would like to see this, the bolded statement in the OP makes it sound like there was just a website glitch, similar to when a park shows up with no hours listed at all.

I think that would work only if you didn't have to get off and trek thru the queues again. For TT and Soaring, you'd spend almost as much time walking the queues as you do on the ride.

That seems kind of spread out not to mention you have the height and theme differences for just 1 hour. My bet is it is just FEA, A&E and a generic breakfast for $59.95. It would then allow you to rope drop Test Track and then FastPass Soarin and hit all 4 in one day with virtually no wait. It would be Breakfast in Arendell and be the Characeter Meal for the sisters. I am also guessing it will sell out every day.

For the MK one, you use the FP+ queue; however, I don't know how much that would help. People say there isn't a line, so you only have to walk through the queue. I still think we would get to ride Soarin 2-3, which is more than we have ever ridden it in a day.

Ah, the app:) Looks like a possible glitch.

I wouldn't not be shocked if it was a glitch while they were adding the ability to do this in multiple parks at the same time :) This is popular, it's an interesting option for breakfast and to be honest if my daughter was younger I would do it. If they happen to hit a morning combo that really interests me, I'll give it a try. Star Wars Early Morning Magic in the future for example..

With the long waits of Frozen ride .. it seems like Disney would be throwing money away if they didn't offer an early morning magic for Frozen.
Breakfast, Test Track, A&E M&G, and the Frozen Ride?

My guess it is that and just slipped out too early on the app.

I can also easily see them offer it for Star Wars and Toy Story Land as those will be in HIGH demand. Why not? What's the downside to Disney to have a bunch of people pay for early morning access?

It is still there in the app as of right now. All parks same time on Aug 14.

I'm in the process of planning my Labor Day trip, and I'm trying to figure out how many days to allot for EPCOT. I had planned on one, but I really want to ride all the Tier 1s and to use FPs to do it. I could possibly do two days, but there is no way I can manage three.

So, Disney has me over a barrel. I guess I have to admit that I would grudgingly pay $70ish per person for early entry to FEA, especially if it included at least one other Tier 1 ride.

What do we think the chances of them offering this for the fall will be? If they offer it, any ideas about what might be included?

I vote :thumbsup2 as I've said before, MK was the practice run for the other parks when Frozenland, Avatarland, Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land opens. Those will sell out no problem.

Hmmmm ....
- Frozen Ever After
- Test Track
- Three Caballeros Boat ride
- Breakfast at Electric Umbrella

Keeps all on the same side of the park.

100% as long as they have confidence that FEA won't break down regularly. They can't charge people $69 for early entry to FEA if the ride isn't running. But once they gain confidence that the ride is up to the task, a hard ticket event here is an absolute sure thing.

By Labor Day, 37.51%.
