What drinks in Trader Sam’s trigger what special effects. Can you get them without alcohol?

Other then the barstools at TS GG everyone enjoys the antics even if you don't order one of the specific drinks.

There are some differences between ETB and GG. GG doesn't have the shipwreck on the rocks, but does have the Nautilus and they still do the hippopotomaitai effect (at least the last time I was there, pre-covid). You can't get those drinks without alcohol.

If you don't drink alcohol, I suggest sticking with the "mocktails" on the menu. They are very good and far less expensive. Other guests around you will be ordering the drinks that trigger the effects, so you don't necessarily have to order one for yourself unless you want to purchase one of the souvenir drink glasses/mugs. We don't drink alcohol and order mocktails and apps and still enjoy the atmosphere.

It's even better at the Grog Grotto because of the animatronic.

If you collect tiki mugs, we were quite disappointed three weeks ago when they were out of most of them. The only one they had we already had a couple.

@HopperFan - some of the mug groups were talking about the dwindling supply. Some are wondering if it's a supply chain issue or if Disney is intentionally doing it. Other Tiki Mug companies seem to have no issues, but I suspect that Disney needs a whole lot more from China then most other companies.

I'm hoping it is supply chain and we got very unlucky. DS doesn't go often so it was quite disappointing for him, he collects them. BUT because they didn't have them we bought one drink. No reason to order food if we weren't going to order more drinks. Not sure that is a plus or minus for them as we did tie up a table for 45+ minutes with one drink each. With mugs to buy we would have spent more, ordered food and more drinks.

Hmm, I hadn't considered that it would be hard to get a mug. I have a rare opportunity to swing by and was looking to see which ones were around. I particularly wanted that Jungle Cruise one. If it's not going to be possible to get it, I won't bother trying to get over to it. Does anyone have any additional intel on that?

It was a bummer. My DS#2 rarely gets to WDW, collects the tiki mugs and was really disappointed to leave with nothing. I'll ask him later but they only had one or two of the very basic ones you could buy. They were serving in some but you couldn't buy them, just their inventory. I didn't see any Nautilus or Jungle Cruise one.

I don't know. It's like when they opened and weren't prepared with any mugs, selling DL mugs in FL. At this point in time the supply chain is a lame excuse for them. They could have shifted to another provider. I mean it is a main reason to visit there.
