Special effects drinks at Trader Sams

Do the effects only happen if you're sitting at the bar, or do they also happen for those at the tables (inside)?

I went in December and everyone who ordered the special drinks got the effects. I wasn't at the bar and got to experience it

Are non-alcoholic versions of those drinks available so you can get the special effects even if you don't like rum/whiskey/etc.?

There aren't. We asked a few month's ago because a friend was taking meds. There is no non-alcohol version of the drinks.

Your best bet to see the effect is hanging out for a while to wait for someone else to order it.
