Ds6 just got his g-tube in last week. He takes 100% of his nutrition with the tube. However, he can orally "eat" any kinds of liquids or pureed foods. We're heading to DL in July and I'm looking at the menus. There are just a few places that offer soups. The ice cream shops of course are perfect for him!
I'm trying to figure out (since this is all new to us), how the rest of the family can get our meals in while still including ds6? If we choose a sit-down restaurant, could they provide us something not on the menu? I don't want him to feel left out and just drinking a glass of milk while the rest of the family has a great meal. KWIM?
Btw, his tube is just temporary. He is having surgery on his esophagus 3 days after our DL trip. We're hoping it won't be long after surgery that he will be able to orally consume his daily calories.
TIA
