Can anyone tell me which QS & TS restaurants are the best for people with strict dietary needs? My friend's son is gluten-free, dairy-free, and soy-free. It is very very very important that he not ingest any of these things.
Thanks in advance!

The majority- Disney are very good at accommodating special dietary needs.

Good luck to your friend and hope they have a great trip.

Most of the restaurants at Disney are great at accommodating those with dietary needs.

This was posted in error to the disABILITIES Community Board. I'm going to move it the the regular disABILITIES Board, which is for questions about Disney trips.

As others mentioned, Disney in general is pretty good about special diets/food allergies.

You will find more information and some links in post 3 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. You can find that thread near the top of the disABILITIES Board or follow the link in my signature.

He'll be well taken care of at any Disney owned TS restaurant. I'd look over the menus to be sure that there's something on the menu that should be easily modifiable (as in leave off sauce, bake instead of fry) that he'll like when booking the ADR.

For CS, I'd recommend the following locations if they want to eat CS in the parks.
MK: Cosmic Ray's
EP: Sunshine Seasons
DHS: Flame Tree BBQ
DHS: I'd eat TS

There are other places that do provide allergy foods but they all have fries as their side and the fries at WDW contain soy.

We prefer to do TS in the parks and CS at our resort. Resort CS has a lot more options than park CS. In parks, you're limitted to the premade items. At resorts, chefs can customize something safe using whatever fresh ingredients they have on hand.

I can second Clanmcculloch's choices! I'm gluten and dairy free and one of my friends who is a CM is GF/DF/Soy and we've had good luck at all of these! I also have had good luck at Liberty Inn at Epcot and Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom. I would definitely go for TS at Hollywood Studios (50's PT can do gluten/dairy/soy free fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy with advance notice).

Disney is so wonderful with food allergies/special diets, you will be well taken care of! :thumbsup2

We went to many, many places on our last trip and the only location that could not handle gluten/dairy/soy was breakfast at Hollywood and Vine. The chef would not make anything separate besides Van's waffles, which have soy flour. I do not recommend a breakfast there.
I would also stick to the PP's recommended CS locations, especially in Hollywood studios. That park was just hard to feed our son at.

Where are you staying at?
