Sort of a strange story and from unreliable sources, but here goes...

My dad heard from someone he knows that Disney has a honeymoon "program" where you get a button to wear and it basically bumps you to the front of the line on rides. Now, I think I've heard about "honeymoon buttons" or "newlywed buttons" or something like that, like the "birthday buttons." I know that these buttons offer no 'benefits,' but is there some other program he might be talking about? Or maybe (actually, quite possibly) neither of them have any idea what they are talking about!

Or maybe there aren't even honeymoon buttons and I have no idea what I'm talking about. But just to make sure it's clear, I KNOW that the birthday buttons, etc. don't guarantee you will get special treatment and that it is BAD to expect something. But I just thought I'd check and see if there's some other 'program' other than the regular buttons.

Sorry, kind of confusing I know. But we're leaving for our disneymoon in three weeks and I though it would be nice to get this figured out before we go :) Thanks everyone!

My oldest DD got engaged while we were at WDW during March. I snuck in to Guest Relations to ask if they had any kind of button for newly engaged couples (thinking I would get them some comments from CMs with good wishes). What they gave me was 2 buttons with Bride Minnie and Groom Mickey on them (so, they apparently don't have one for engagements). The buttons did get them some attention - smiles and comments, but nothing besides that. After a day, they took them off because they were getting a lot of comments asking how many days they had been married.

Thanks for the info - I guess we'll just get them and see what happens!

By the way, your screen name caught me off guard - My mom is a Sue M and lives in the twin cities! Guess she's not the only one (not that I thought she was) :) Thanks again!

The buttons are just like the Birthday Buttons. No official privileges, but a CM can do what is called a "Take 5" and do something special or embarrass the couple. For example one CM I worked with at the World Of Disney would ask the couple their names when they were checking out and then start yelling at the top of her lungs to the whole room to let everyone know that they were just married and have everyone clap.

From what I understand you can get these buttons at any guest relations location. There is the well known Birthday button, and I believe there are two other buttons (dont quote me on this, there may be just one). There is a "Just married" one, and then a general Congratulations one with the same Bride Minnie Groom Mickey photo on it.
