Hi there,
Our son will be turning 11 while we're in WDW next month ( we're actually doing the land and sea package and he'll turn 11 on the boat ) Is there anything I can do that will get him a little extra attention on his birthday? I read that he will get a special badge while we're there but I was just curious if that badge meant anything special ( besides being a great souvenir from WDW!! )

When you have the birthday button on you get extra attention from the cast members. We went to Magic Kingdom on my DD's 10th birthday in August. Walking down Main Street one member of the barbershop quartet saw the button pulled my DD up on the sidewalk in the middle of them and serenaded her. She was about 10 shades of red. In lines for rides and shows she would get Happy Birthday's from other people as well as CM's. The characters made a big deal over it too. My daughter tends to be really shy around people she doesn't know, the extra attention wasn't too much, just enough to make her feel special
