Special Birthday registration on Main Street?

We will be celebrating my daughter's first bday in Magic Kingdom in December. I thought I read somewhere when you get into MK you can go somewhere on Main Street and "register" her bday and get her a button or something else? Anyone have any idea what I am talking about or did I dream this?? Thanks!!!

You can go to town hall (I think it is) and get a birthday button just by asking for it. No need to register or show proof. Then everyone everywhere will wish her a Happy Birthday!

Just so you know, you can get the button at many places, including at your hotel and any park guest services.

That is true, Disney*mom!! This being the Year of Celebrations, I wouldn't be surprised if every shop had them too! LOL
