My little cousin is turning 2 in WDW on Monday. We want to send him a birthday treat (balloons, cake, toy, etc) to surprise him at his room. Disney Florist seems a bit steep! Anyone else find a less expensive way to pull off a birthday gift there? We already called the front desk to see if they would deliver a balloon or two from the park and they transfered us to Disney Florists.
Thanks!

Thank you so much for all your ideas so far and for the great links. I will definitely research all these and figure out what I want to do next. UNFORTUNATELY for me they charge a "less than a week" fee which I don't know why I have waited so long!
PrincessDisneyBelle...what a generous offer! How sweet! I will definitely have to think harder about all this!
You guys are ALWAYS so helpful!

what about if you send a package (with something disney inside) via regular mail to the hotel where he's staying to arrive after they checkin. Maybe you could put disney stickers all over the outside (the mickey heads from home depot are the right price).;) When we went for my son's 5th birthday in 2005, staying at Fort Wilderness, I bought a present, wrapped it up and left at the checkin and they brought it to our camper. They added a mickey balloon and a birthday card signed by mickey.

The problem is I waited too long to plan this out IMO. His birthday is Monday the 12th! I think it might cost a fortune to get there in time!
EXCELLENT idea though.

Just a thought.....does he eat fruit? Those edible fruit arrangements have a whole kids' section - Mickey included. Very cute. Not sure of cost though.
They could deliver it.

I will check it out! You guys are GREAT!
ESPECIALLY PrincesssDisneyBelle...YOU ROCK!

We had a WDW birthday kid last year. We had Garden Grocer dot com deliver a cake to the hotel - they will also pick up balloons, cute birthday paper plates/cups, etc. I'd bet, if you asked. (Not sure about a gift, though...!) Brian is the owner and he's fulfilled *many* special requests on our WDW trips, including lovely fresh floral arrangements for our YC room, and festive "adult" beverages. :rolleyes1 The round birthday cake was $20, and I think there's a minimum order (or a delivery charge) - I forget... It is a good quality supermarket cake and can be decorated with whatever you want it to say. This company does seem to go all out for its customers - if you want something, just ask and they search it out and take care of it. They don't need much advance notice, so I think Monday wouldn't be a problem.

Good luck!
