Special AP Event 10-12 and 10-17 * Official Thread *

We were not chosen, but will be in town for the event on the 12th. If anyone else has extra spots for that evening, we would love to attend. Please PM me.

I got the email, and there are just a few rules...

• The event goes from 8pm-midnight
• Parking in the Mickey & Friends parking structure (normal parking rates apply, I believe)
• All members of the party must check in together. So if you are inviting someone be sure to select a place to meet up at before checking in. I don't think part of the party can check in earlier and go get others after the initial check in.
• You can arrive anytime after noon and get a wristband
• Three lands will be open: Main Street, USA, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland
• The Soundsational Parade will be at 9:30

Went to the event last night. The best part was probably the lack of lines at Dumbo and Peter Pan. We rode both twice. The CM in Snow White was waving her arms trying to get people to ride SW! She looked lonely in there by herself, but everyone was taking advantage of PP and Dumbo with no lines! Star Tours was a walk on at certain times, including Buzz and Space Mt. It was a fun night. Some special food items only available to those with the wristbands, but nothing spectacular there. Hot dog with mac n cheese on top and sprinkled with bacon at Coke Corner.

We went on Star Tours at the end of the night, and it was a walk-on, which was great since I've only been on it once. After the ride, CM Angie let us stay on and ride again! It was a blast.

The parade at night was UNBELIEVABLE. I was totally not expecting to be blown away to that degree. I blogged about it with pictures here.

My wife got sick, so we were unable to attend. Were there any inexpected M&G's? Due to some lucky pixie dust, we will be going next week, so I'm excited to hear more details from those who went last night.

Does anyone have any comment on the night parade? Have you also seen it during the day so you can compare?

I've seen it both day and night, and enjoy the experiences of both.

At night, the colors just pop, and mixed in with the music, and energy of the dancers it is just such a fun parade. I really like the night version.

There was a panel at Tomorrowland Terrace where they asked the designers of the parade about it, etc. Since this was not in the list of events we didn't know about it, and didn't hear the announcement after the parade. My daughter just happened to be at the Tomorrowland Terrace, and so she was able to see/hear it. She said it was cool.
