Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

Maybe I am just cursed with back luck, lol. We had issues with things like surfaces being "sticky" (and I don't like to think what it could be), and the bathroom was just grungy in general..the tiles were grungy, there was hair stuck to some of it. Bleck.
Oh yeah, we had sewage back up into our bathroom on formal night as I was trying to get ready...the drain in the floor just started overflowing with foul water and we had to have it fixed and cleaned.

OMGoodness, how gross!

I've been on 5 Disney cruise (2 Wonder, 3 Magic) and I've never had a dirty room! That is definitely not the norm!

ETA: If you have a dirty room this time, you let me know. Guest Services will hear about it!

Ohh and since most everyone here seems like repeat cruisers, I need to ask a noob question. I have only cruised once...on the 3 day Wonder. I think I just realized this time I'll be on the Magic - hey that's cool! I know they are basically the same ship, but are there any differences at all?

Triton's becomes Lumiere's on the Magic. Beach Blanket Buffet becomes Topsiders (I think other than that it looks the same). There is some interior theming that is a little different, but honestly, other than the chandelier in the lobby area of Deck 3, I haven't noticed any real differences.

I don't know if the Wonder has Ocean Quest or not, but it's really cool. I think both ships have the Ariel View TV over the pool. I can't think of anything else right now.

No, the Wonder didn't have Ocean Quest. My ds would have loved that, but he won't be with me this time to enjoy it.
Ok, I knew about the name changes in restaurants, but they are still pretty much the same, right?
I was looking at them online and noticed how much cooler the Wonder looked in the adult/bar areas - loved the decor of Route 66 even though we only went down the hall. Is the nightlife good on the Magic? This time I'll get to maybe enjoy some of it!

nothing official - just a little input needed for my little fvaors
so what do you like better
Double Your Pleasure, Double your fun with the
"5 Day Double DIppin Disers" or "double dipping 5 day disers"

Wow---I didn't know that DIS cruise groups get names---I kinda like to keep the word Special:)

Even though we are contributing to the lanyards we are still bringing FE gifts and leis for everyone----they take up an entire small suitcase on their own---and that doesn't include the chocolate that I still need to purchase for the FE gifts! Good thing we're driving!

Speaking of driving----I wouldn't mind hearing from anyone who has a Saturn Astra or any kind of Subaru (please PM me) since we are going car shopping this weekend----our poor 1993 Saturn needs replacing and we need a car that will fit 2 dog crates. Thanks:)

Well, my mum-in-law (yes, she is British) showed me how to use my sewing machine this past weekend. It was just as I suspected---operator error---it really helps if you thread the darn thing correctly::yes:: So now I have no excuse---I MUST sew my fish extender so we can get lots of loot:)

Shouldn't make it Double Dippers or people might not let us use their ketchup :lmao: :lmao:

i just thought of a great FE gift - ketchup packages for everyone - then there is no double dippin!! Watch out McDonalds here I come - think anyone will give me a funny look when i walk out with 150 ketchup packets!?
Tasha

I have a Subaru, but it is a sedan so that won't help you. I love it though!

O.K. O.K., I know what side my tarts are buttered on.
But I am not much for cherries.

So..............If you can answer one simple parrothead question, I will vote yes Kid.

Here goes.
What was Jimmy's first number one hit?
(no fair googling)

Well since Scott didn't come thru last night with my phone-a-friend....I used another lifeline.....

Bob...the answer is It's 5 o'clock Somewhere!!!!!!

Elaine somethings ya just gotta know. OK Now what is the name of Jimmy's Gruman aircraft????

Saturn Astra Hybred to be released in Jan of 09 maybe sooner, not sure if it will be all wheel drive. Test drove one at the BoulderBolder , got a free pair of Crocs, was impressed, also we have owned two Subarus, and really liked them. Sent ya a PM.

The 4 door Jeep Wrangler is pretty darn nice, and the mileage is in the low 20's.

Gotta have 4 wheel drive here in Wyoming.

There goes my stock profits, or maybe not McD's could develop a new character called the Ketchup Burglar, you can't catch-up ( get it ) to him.

Sorry that was bad.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :goodvibes

Oh are we recommending cars? jeeps are awesome, but dogs on the road - no power, loud, and bumpy as heck. No way I'd want one on a long distance trip. DH and I have been "jeep people" for years - he currently has a 4 door Rubicon. I recently got a limited edition toyota FJ Cruiser, so now we are rivals. And boy can my fj kick his jeeps butt all over the road (even if he could most likely out do me anywhere offroad! haha).

::yes:: Elaine the google clause is always implied when trivia is involved::yes::

Our Jeep is a 1990 Wrangler Renagade. My first Jeep and first car was a 1951 CJ3A. I think Jeeps are great. A guy I work with just got the 4 door wrangler Limited I think, the one below the Rubicon. Seems pretty nice.
