Nezy, the Minnie is a 15m/m pace, but it is only 15K. It is also the last year for the Minnie, last chance to get that Minnie medal!

Is there a medal for the 5K?
I was actually thinking of doing just the 5K as I will be going w/my DD, age 10 and she could do that one with me. We will also be going to the Disney Channel Games concert the night before so I don't think I could do the half and then get on a plane that night. This is all new to me--my friends are talking about a 10K in June in Central park.

I am trying to push them to do one of the WDW races. My new mission!
I just love the idea of wlaking/jogging around WDW when it is "closed". I also like that some of the races have soem back roads between parks that you really wouldn't see otherwise, at least that is how it looks from the maps.

Elaine-Glad mom is feeling better.

Noreen, there are plastic/rubber type medals for the 5K races, and regular T-shirts (usually tech shirts for longer races).

Joy, there are 5K races attached to the Minnie in May, the Disneyland 1/2 marathon weekend over Labor Day, and the WDW Marathon weekend in Jan. The Tower of Terror is a 13K and run at night in Oct., there is a Everest race, we are not doing that one, so I can't remember how long it is, but is shorter also. I also do not know how long the Race for the Taste is, but again shorter than 1/2 marathon. The 5K's are Kid friendly.

As Georgie mentioned, check out the W.I.S.H. sites, under "Just for Fun", expecially under "Events/Competition", there is alot of information on races, and good people over there also.

Elaine, we are thinking about your mom, hope she feels better soonpixiedust:

I tink so!

Leslie was great and offered to help. In the end, however, I think I will be getting down there early-on 4/30, get the tix and then drive down to visit my mom in West Palm Bch, a few days. This is how I can justify the extra days and time away-mom's bd is on 4/30-so I will surprise her!

I am still working out the logistics at home. It is baseball season and my 2 sons are each on 3 baseball teams. It is a bit crazy, but they live for this!

Thanks again for looking out for me.:wizard:

Hi Elaine!

Sending pixie dust :wizard: for the doctor's visit today. Let us know how your mom makes out. :goodvibes

Thanks Georgie....our appointment isn't until tomorrow so I bottled up the pixie dust :wizard: to take with us to the doctor's....I will let you know tomorrow night how it went and how Mom is doing.

Elaine, Wish Margaret the best.

She is in good hands.

Elaine, more pixiedust: from us here for Margaret. hope everything goes wekk for her today.

Weather is terrible here, it started snowing yesterday, it was fairly warm, so it was a very wet, heavy snow. I got stuck in my driveway going out for the mail! That was in my jeep in 4 wheel drive that goes thru anything! The conditions have not improved, today, wind is blowing 30-40mph, snow is blowing, white out conditions on slick roads. Hope it improves a bit for our trip to Denver this afternoon!

Good morning to everyone. Have a great day!!!:goodvibes

Lisa, I added you to the Roster, was also wondering will you have early or late dining?
brings the total up to 132 cabins so far!

SNOW!!! Gosh! Be safe. It was really warm for us here yesterday... 78 degrees.

Take your time going to Denver. Those conditions do NOT sound good! :scared1:

Update on Mom

Well we saw the surgeon again today. He took out her stitches and sent her for yet another x-ray. He said her finger is healing nicely considering the damage she did. He said the pins will be staying in for another 4 weeks or so. We see the surgeon again in 2 weeks.

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1:

Scott & Lynn.....please keep it on your side of the border :lmao: We have had beautiful weather here lately and we even have buds on our lilac trees.
