We're FINALLY at the 6 month countdown!!!

Tomorrow I'm going to meet up wtih one of the Bridesmaids from our wedding! We haven't seen each other in "several years".

Now, 30 pounds heavier and greying hair... YIKES!!!

Isn't it funny, you don't think about how you've changed, after all I see the same face everyday But, when that face was last seen by my friend, it sure was a LOT different

After the initial "Oh you haven't really changed" rotine, I'm sure we'll settle right in to chatting about old times!!!

I thought they were changing all of that and you needed passports for cruises and to go to Canada effective sometime this year. I think the dates are different for land travel and sea(cruise) for requiring a passport.

Passports are not required for cruising right now. It looks like the date for passports to be required won't be until June 1, 2009, but that could change.

Keep in mind if something happens to you when you are in a port and need to fly home, you will not be permitted to do so without a passport. Not a risk I'm willing to take.

I'm sorry, but I have to share some sad news. A cruiser with us who has always been a lurker has cruised with me a couple times. She and her daughter went on her first Disney Cruise in September, 2006 and we met them when they were celebrating their birthdays (this was on the 7 night before the 11 night). They were great people, we spent the day in Key West with them, first at brunch in Palo and then doing the Duval Street Crawl.

Pat signed up for this cruise early on and has been emailing me about things that you guys talk about, most recently she sent me an email with pictures of two beagles from Wisconsin with Badger Football jerseys on. This was Tuesday at lunch time. She said she couldn't wait to see us in September.

Since our first cruise she started working for Disney Cruise Lines and through some other friends there, they got word to me that Pat passed away recently. I know you all would have liked Pat. She was a wonderful lady and I will miss her a lot.

Thank you so much for posting about Mom on the boards. She always wanted to post, but was a bit overwhelmed with learning how She would be honored to be mentioned on her precious Disboards!

This was a tremendous shock to us - Mom was so full of life and love! She loved being a cast member and was looking so forward to this cruise - and celebrating her 65th birthday with you all! I spoke with her the day before she died to let her know that I was not going to be able to go on the cruise with her because my fiance and I had decided to get married in October! She was so very excited about that and I have the comfort of knowing that she died a very happy woman!

Thanks again Tracy - and have a toast to Mom on the cruise - you know she'll be there with you all!

Well yesterday it was 67 and sunny, just a little wind. Last night the wind picked up to 57MPH and now it is overcast snowing and wind averaging 25. Must say we picked a good day to do the taxes.

Has anyone booked their airfare yet? If you don't mind sharing, what airline and how much per ticket?

It is looking pricey to me. Cheapest straight through from Denver is Frontier at $355.00 round trip.

I am kicking myself that I did not book the straight through Airtran tickets at $88.00 each way. They are now $285.00 with a layover (like a 9 hour flight time).

Southwest still hasn't posted their fares, I am hopeful....

We just booked Delta out of DEN for the WDW Marathon Week trip and got it for $199, flying into Tampa. We rent a car just for shopping to stock the DVC unit so that is still the same. Extra expense is the rental car so as to return to Tampa. Flight to MCO was $380, so the extra car rental is worth it.

We took her up to Lake Michigan yesterday. Walked out on the ice. Kinda looked liked dunes. She loved that.
