Good morning everyone.

Have a good one to any Welsh ex-pats who are living in the USA.

Good Evening David.
Good Morning Chet. Ooops, I mean good morning Scott.:rotfl2:
(old folks reference)

Hey, beautiful morning here in the heartland. Yes it is still cold... 29° F.
But the sun is out and it will be a great day.

David,
Happy St Davids Day
We had a young fellow give a presentation where I work yesterday.
He is from England. Kitts Green.
In his powerpoint his pronunciation and spelling was different, causing some chuckles.
Hey, I knew what he was saying, I can speak Canadian. Eh!?
Actually, he is a very smart guy. Quite outgoing.
I'm sure he will get us straightened out.:rolleyes1

I was kidding him about the food here.
The closest thing we have to "back home" is an irsih pub.
Not a bad place to go, but I'm sure it is not authentic.

[SIZE=3[FONT=Comic Sans MS]Man... those shots look like fun. :drinking1 I'm still so bummed that I missed Cabo! :sad2:

They were!:thumbsup2
Hey we missed you too.
You probably would have put us two Bobs to shame.

You could have been "The Last Man Standing"

Sigh. My tickers are still not working.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Cheryl, were you without power for a littlebit???

Nope, our power flashed on and off and we were good to go.
Bob's been home sick with the flu since mid week. He is feeling better this morning though, finally.

Hmmmm. Don't remember Georgie & Joe.:confused3
Do remember a couple from Dayton, Ohio and two women from Minnesota.
At least I think I remember.:lmao:
And I did not have to play pack mule at that stop.

Cabo was an interesting stop.:rolleyes1
It was a great way to end a wonderful cruise.

Well, I didn't remember Georgie and Joe being there either, but old age and all, lol. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I do remember the couple from Ohio and the two women from Minnesota, they were hilarious.

Rainbow shots..

Was just amazed!
when it all came out of one shaker!
:3dglasses

When is Margarets birthday?

So, if I make you some homemade treats will I have a place in your heart?:confused3

Cheryl

My Mom actually has 2 birthdays....you see when we were on the PC cruise, our head server, Alain came over to me on our first night at dinner and said DCL had advised him that it was my Mom's birthday during the cruise and he asked what day we would like to celebrate...on her birthday or another day. I advised Alain that Mom's birthday wasn't during the cruise but on August 4th....he was having no part of it and said that DCL had already set aside a cake for Mom so he let me pick a day....I chose May 18...so Mom now has 2 birthday's.....her DCL birthday May 18 and her "real" birthday August 4!!!!! and yes....I get her a card and gift for both!!!!

Welcome Aboard! This is our 2nd Disney Cruise and our 1st one was in October 2006 too. We also surprised our 3 sons with the cruise, (getting all the way into the stateroom before announcing we were staying on the ship). They thought we were just on the Magic to take a tour and see the ship.:lmao: And our similarities don't stop there - Our twins had their birthday and turned 14 on the cruise too. Our boys won't be with us this time because we need some alone time.

hmm, this is interesting, We were on the October 15 2006 cruise too on the Wonder 4 nights for our last cruise? I wonder if we were are on the same cruise? Sorry I am a little behind in reading, just catching up but this caught my eye.

That looks like something I had at Pat O'Brians on Bourbon Street I think it was called a"Skylab Fallout" or something like that . The difference is it came in one large glass ILO several glasses. When stired together it turned a shade of green. Which, by the way, was the same color of anyone who had 2 or more of these things.

That sure looks like a good time in Cabo.

I think I have found a fun group.:disrocks:

Evening everyone.

If you are interested in a little more about St Davids Day, Wales, a quiz and some recipies take a look at the link - there's also the Welsh National Anthem.

Enjoy.

I just realized that 6 months from today we all board the beautiful Magic! What a wonderful thought as I look out at the snow/mud in my backyard! It seemed like so far away when I booked it, but now it seems within reach!

UH-Oh--better get moving on the passports!

dont think u really need them! ;) proof of birth will do it!

But we have them !

I thought they were changing all of that and you needed passports for cruises and to go to Canada effective sometime this year. I think the dates are different for land travel and sea(cruise) for requiring a passport.

Thanks so much, David -- I'm having a difficult time even with the phonetic version of the Welsh national anthem!!! :goodvibes

My wife phoned her mother earlier today to remind them the cruise (and my birthday) is six months away.  It was about 9:00 here so allowing for the time difference she told her that we would be doing our lifeboat drill at that time.

My 10 year passport expirers on 17th August so I have sent for a renewal today. A few years ago, the passport agency in the UK went into meltdown and they were taking 6-8 weeks. Fortunately, these days they only take about 10-14 days.

It's easy really - the phonetic appears more difficult than the real Welsh version. Glad you enjoyed the site.
