Yep. It was a pleasure to meet her on the PC cruise.
This time she can celebrate her birthday for real.
Just a few weeks late.

Margaret will always have a spot in my heart.
I really enjoy homemade treats. :goodvibes

Okay Bob.....you just guaranteed yourself some homemade treats!!!!

David, I am sorry to hear about the earthquake. Hope all is well there now.

Not really sorry for the 40's in florida.:lmao:
After all of the gloating from down that way?
O.K., maybe I feel a little sad for ya.:rotfl2:

Thanks for the goodwill messages about the earthquake - everything is back to normal now.

It was 7ºC today which is about 44ºF - almost a heatwave.:lmao:

Anyway, it's just gone 11:00 here in the UK so I'm having an early night.

Goodnight all:hug:

David

Hi Everyone,

We just spent 6 days at WDW for what was our first trip home since we bought DVC. SSR is a lovely resort; unfortunately, it was too cold to use the pools (although we did see some kids in the water even when it was in the 40s! :scared1: )

Happy Birthday, Leslie! Have a great day. :cloud9:

David, glad to hear everything is OK. We experienced an earthquake in upstate NY about 25 years ago and it was like having a freight train rattle by under the window! Oh, and BTW, those castle pics were terrific; I'd really love to visit Wales one day (and Ireland since I'm 3/8ths Irish).

Tracy, sorry about your friend. Seems like it was unexpected and that's so hard.

Hey, y'all, we're just about at the 6-month mark for our cruise (and all you who are going on the EB please try not to gloat too much ;) ). I wonder what they're going to assign to our nights. I think a tropical night in lieu of a formal night sounds perfect (one less outfit to pack--oh yeah).

Happy Birthday, Leslie!!! Sorry this is so late in the day. Hope you had a great one!

Morning everyone!

Well another class under the Belt, you have to love HAZMAT!

Monday night, I start Beginners crane course. :scared1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWlj5nEqRCE

Lets hope this never happens!

We watched this video in another class,
The Operator Refused to make the Pick :thumbsup2 (As it is Called) due to high winds!
about 35 mph's.
Another person, a Mechanic decided to do it. :confused3

So I was told!

The screetching you hear are the brakes!
the booombs you hear are the Lacings giving way, that hold each boom Section together.

There is a 2nd crane in the backround that also goes over. and I believe there was 2 men in a Man basket on the end of that one.

Evening all!

I just found this thread half-way down page 2 !!!!

Bob I thought Joe + I walked by when you were hanging up there in Cabo... maybe not. We had just returned from our great ATV excursion and were surprised to see our Table 12 Matey hanging out! Hey... we know that guy!!!

We did see all the colorful shots lined up for you in one bar!

:rainbow:

But I think there was one more shot than in the smiley above ;)

Happy Leap Day Everyone.

Just think, if your birthday was today, you would only have to celebrate it every four years.

.....
Ah, the marvels of modern technology.
My first computer had 64k of onboard memory and a hard drive of 1 meg.
You know, back in the caveman days.:lmao:

My first computer in 1982 was a Sinclair Spectrum (I still have it) with 16K of memory. It also had rubber keys.

Now that's nostalgia

David
I was wrong about my first. (isn't it always that way)
anyway, my first was a Comodore Vic-20.
250px-Commodore_VIC_20_computer2.jpg

It had 16k of internal memory and a tape external drive.:scared1:
The brains of the thing was a 6502 chip.
The computer worked with a rf converter and a televison.
It could display a whopping 23x22 characters on the screen.
A couple years later I bought a C-64.
320px-Commodore64.jpg

This is the one that hade the 64k of memory and the external hard drive.
It utilized a 6510 computer chip and displayed 40X25 characters.

Learned a lot about "tight coding" on these machines. Was a lot of fun.

And yes I still have these. And as of about 5 years ago, they still fire-up.

Oh my gosh. I forgot that you saw that. I am so sorry if I embarassed ya.:rotfl2:

Shots? You mean these....

That was so amazing the way the bartender mixed them in one cup and slowly poured them out into each shot glass.

I have a picture of one other diser getting ready to do his shots.
Peter is looking over his shoulder thinking what fools we were.

You see, we are the people your parents warned you about.:goodvibes

My mom was a great cook too.
My childhood memories are of homemade cookies and candy.
And of comfort food like meatloaf and fried chicken.
Fried potatoes and (yes Kid) mac and cheese.

Hey Mike, are ya lurking out there?

I guess there is something to that old saying about
"the way to a man's heart is thru his stomach"

Everyone have a great weekend.

Good morning everyone.

1st of March today so it's St Davids Day - the patron saint of Wales.

Have a good one to any Welsh ex-pats who are living in the USA.

Good Evening to you David,

Hi everyone.
What is the 90 day mark for this cruise?

I believe it is June 2 -- on the PC repo our date is May 19th . . .but maybe I am counting it incorrectly from there? We should get that planning letter/kit this spring and it will tell the exact date.
