we're getting your freezing rain here now.....many highways are closed.....they are also saying we will probably be getting some snow tongiht (originally they thought we would get rain instead of snow)....

Stay safe

I agree...I HATE SNOW!! I HATE WINTER!! I HATE COLD!!

ditto...

Hello !!

Just think how difficiult it is for Disers in the UK etc as you write the dates of cruises the wrong way round in the USA - For 1st of April, the rest of the world writes 01/04/08 but in the USA you would write 04/01/08 (to us that's the 4th of January-2008) - now that's confusing !! ;)

I once told friends in Texas that whilst Americans drive on the right side of the road, it isn't neccessarily the correct side.:lmao: :lmao:

So is anyone registered for the Expedition Everest Challenge at the AK on September 27, 2008????

We aren't doing the challenge, but I can tell you if you are...

Animal Kingdom at night is spectacular. We have had the pleasure of attending evening events there after the park was closed to the public.

It is breathtaking at night!

Good afternoon everyone!

We just got home, had a great weekend. Will get some pics posted soon, hopefully. Bob's surprise was excellent.

Oh..and I convinced Bob to go up Friday afternoon so we made a quick trip into world showcase since our room wasn't ready yet. All I can say is the wine tastings in all the pavillions are still going strong. Even more choices in Germany, some wonderful wines (yes I had a taste or two, lol). I tried something new in France. Italy still has pretty much the same thing, however they have changed their brand of limoncello which we hated to see, as it is the brand Bob and I dumped down the drain, as it wasn't very good.

Oh well. Have a great day everyone!

Cheryl! So glad things went well!!! Sorry we didn't get to see you. Next time I'll have to let you know when we're making our next trip.

Can't wait to see the pictures! :woohoo:

I'm currently writing out the invitations to Bethan's 8th birthday party on 02-March. What a chore :sad2:

It's her first day back in school tomorrow after a half-term break and she would like to give them out first thing.

David

Just been out to post some letters and it's -4ºC (for all you still using Farenheit, that's about 22ºF). It's absolutely perishing.

I was the only car in town so the Police decided to follow me as well . When I pulled-up outside the Post Office they realised what I must be doing.
Every restaurant in town is empty.

Where we live on the east coast of the UK, if you face north on the beach, there is nothing between us and the North Pole so we get hit by Polar winds.:headache:

Glad to get home.

David

Hi! :sad2: nope just popping in as I saw DAIPP posting on the EBPC. He said it was quiet over here and thought I'd pop in to see what he was talking about.

Was thinking about joining but heard through a friend that this cruise was sold out. :sad1: I wonder how many of this cruise are all back to backers? :rolleyes1

Oh well, guess I'll console myself to "just being on the EBPC!"

OHHH - that was evil wasn't it? :maleficen

I see so many familiar names that I remember a lot of fun with these names - hhhhmmmmmmmm, :scratchin may just have to pop over once in a while just to keep my daily dose of wit intact.

:lmao: :rotfl2: ;)

Hi David - think I met you at Cheryl's meet last Sept? That you - the one she keeps saying "never works???" :lmao: Just kidding - if its you - you know that most of us over here are jealous right? Well except for me of course - I just :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc my job. And no - I won't give it up - no amount of $$ or begging will make me get off my chair and out of my car to go to work. I won't, I won't, I won't!!! :bored:

We need a little kid in a cap icon here.

Anyway just wanted to apologize for insisting on putting your name in all caps. For some reason - I always want to do that with your name. don't know why - guess that means your just a standout in my head! ;)

I got on the ball too late. Oh well, probably just as well with what's going on. Can't blame a girl for trying to stay in Never-Neverland right?

So you all have a grand old time with me.

Can you tell I'm avoiding the other threads? The WB has over 47 pages since yesterday I'm just dreading to catch up on. Oh well, better get it done.

Later all - don't party too much w/o me! ;) :lmao:

Wait - CJS is on here - and the others. Never mind - I think the challenge will be to find someone who isn't having a good ol' time. AND that time will come when.............come on all..............????????

Laura, how difficult was booking at 90 days for you on the westbound PC? I keep hearing that it was a real mess . . .

Hi Laura! How's my Secret Mickey recipient doing  I'm glad I'll at least be able to cruise with you for 15 days before this one.

Tracy

:lmao: Hey Tracy - my oldest DD says I'm going to burn in heck for this one! (15 days of pure childless bliss and probably a couple of hangovers too)

Told her to say :wave2: to her brother for when she gets there ahead of me - I'm planning on beating that lady who's 120 year old's record.

BTW everyone else, I'm not really all that :maleficen . After all - this is a DIS board - don't want everyone really thinking I'm a horrible mom! :rotfl2:

Well, luckily I missed most of it. I decided not to go online that night because I had a small feeling - I had a difficult time with booking the Med excursions - so since we have done the Mexican ports already - I'd planned on nothing for Aruba and those ports. Was planning on going just locally and maybe hiring a local at port. (Plus - if I did it all I wouldn't have any fun when I'm with you all) :thumbsup2

I did however, go on the following morning and those fishes they keep talking about made an appearance. I was able to book but it got dropped so I went in later in the day and got the leftovers. Since I love history - got the historic one in town. Guess there's not many history lovers on this cruise. Wonder if we got any rum lovers? Which of course leads me to wonder if there will be any rum left over for you guys on this cruise??????:

So in a roundabout way - to answer your question, yes there was some trouble - I only booked 1 port and so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience for me. I, however, suspect that come May 16th or 17th, there will be another occurrance of this and you'll get to experience it on your own. Scuttlebut seems to be that "Disney's outsourcing company" is trying to find a solution but you know big corporations, just be glad that you got Aruba booked. As for the Mexican ports - if your doing the canopy adventure - great - but I'm going to stick to a local as I have had some awesome adventures going with the locals. I just make sure they bring me back 1-2 or more hrs before boarding time. Plus I call someone at home and tell them who I'm with and what time I'm expected back. If I don't call to say I'm done - they are instructed to get the ball rolling. This isn't meant to :scared1: anyone - I just believe in being super cautious and try to foresee any problems. Overall, most ports know that tourist is their lifeline - they can't afford to have anything happen to one. In fact, they'll go out of their way to make sure you have a grand old time and will ask you pass the word on that they are good folks. This has happened to me regardless of the ports - Mexico, Caribbean, etc.

Sorry - I get so excited talking that I go off on a tangent. Hoep that helped. Now off I must go - DH is sick as a dog - his fault for playing poker so many days in a row - DD is doing homework and the girls (read dogs) are panting in my face - they want a walk)

 all! Please leave some rum for future trips. :rotfl2:

Yes, I have aruba done with Jolly Pirates, and a canopy tour in PV, and horseback riding in Cabo, all without DCL. There is some talk of us organizing something as a group in Cartegena, too . . . at that point I guess I would be fine without any DCL excursions . . . could probably just go to the spot in Acapulco and see the cliff divers, too . . .it's a shame, though, that they have made it so difficult. It seems unnecessary and certainly hurts DCL's bottom line.

What Cheryl means is that I get more holidays than her John :rolleyes1 - you can tell her that I haven't been in work since last Wednesday and I'm not going back until Tuesday - just fancied a few days off;)

I don't mind how you type my dis name capitals or otherwise - I answer to most things. As a manager in my job, I'm used to being called most things.

Will do maybe I'll point it out to her, same place, same bat channel, when she's feeling better.

As for the last comment - that's a loaded cannon around here. :rotfl2:
