Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

We will also be skipping formal night if there is one. I like the idea of "tropical formal". I think we could easily handle that! We will have to decide if we have room for full pirate costumes, or just go with the tee shirts like we had to for the Transatlantic cruise. Now that the airlines are charging for that extra bag, it is another good reason to pare down the luggage.

Hey everyone. Just had a question for the DCL experts. We booked this cruise last Feb and of course paid our deposit at that time. I was just thinking about when our final payment was due and requested a confirmation. When I got the new confirmation, I noticed that our overall cruise fare has gone up a few hundred dollars. We haven't made any changes to the original booking. DCL doesn't seem to have an answer. Did this happen to anyone else that booked a 2008 cruise last year?:confused3

I hope not!!!
lol T what do you think ?
:goodvibes

what is DCL doing about this?

There are a number of reasons this could happen. It wouldn't just happen on its own. I'm sure there is a logical explanation.

May just be pirate tshirts for us here also, lol. Just trying to pack light since this is such a short cruise.

Well, I just pased my hazwhoper 40 class, 16 more hours of classes and I will get a Disaster response Cert.
Hope that I never need it but, in the event of some Disaster, I would be called to Respond. Something about a National Data Base! ;) :confused3

I hope you never need to use those skills!
But it never hurts to be prepared!:thumbsup2

Hi all:) I'm offering to bring the leis for the tropical formal night! We have tons of leftover tropical party stuff from our office holiday party just gathering dust in my basement----I am an Archivist---I save EVERYTHING that I think I might use again someday! We'll be driving to FL from MD so bringing stuff is not too much of an issue---we're allowed 2 suitcases each right? We also have to buy a new station wagon----we have cars from 1993 and 1995---both with over 200,000 miles on them. Sigh. I hate car shopping:eek:

I've been thinking of what to bring for the fish extender gifts for everyone---I really LOVE this planning stuff!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally got up the courage to take the new sewing machine out of the box but I haven't looked at the instructions yet----I also purchased a Sewing For Dummies book just in case:confused3 I have all of the material and bits and bobs I need for the fish extender---Thank You ever so much Elaine for sending the instructions:)

We really can't wait to meet all of you wonderful people! We want to be involved as much as we can with everything to make this a truly MAGICAL experience:yay:

Well, that white lie was certainly told for a good reason . . . it's going to be hard to break a 30 cigarette a day habit at her age. Good luck with that.

Helen has just been speaking to her mother and the anti-smoking medication she is taking seem to be working :worship:

She's down to around 15 a day in less than a week. :cool1:

However, the medication goes to a higher level this Thursday so she may be in for a shock.:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Anyway, I've got a conference tomorrow so I need to have an early night (11:00pm is early for me).

Goodnight. :wave2: :wave2:

David

Peter, sad we live in the desposable society, seems always cheaper to replace rather than repair.

David have a good conference, and good luck with the MIL.

Susan and Tom, KEWL on the leis, they will also go with the grass skirts.

That's wonderful that she is already cutting down so quickly! I hope it works out well even with the increase in meds . . .

Good night, David!

Hey Bob, did ya see the Beagle took the Hound Group.

The Malamutes will be in the Working group tomorrow, have a SCUBA class and we will miss it.

Hello Bob and Lee,

I was wondering if Belle does any rabbit hunting.

We have 7 beagles ourselves. They can be quite stubborn at times but I think they are one of the most loveable breeds.
