What's the craziest thing a fan of yours has done?
I always really enjoy seeing the tattoos. It really keeps the pressure on me to have a good solid 40-year career.

Sorry Bob...it's not me....I have no Josh tattoos....I think he's referring to one fan in particular that his portrait tattooed on her arm....I do however have a Josh Groban personalized licence plate....well guess Mom does now since she's driving the Sunfire!!!!!

Secret is still safe....I'm thinking of waiting until the Magical Express envelope arrives in the mail!!!!!

I am so upset...my SIL ruined the surprise...she dropped so many hints to my Mom while they were out shopping that my Mom figured it out...she asked me at dinner if I was planning something for her birthday....she mentioned all the hints that my SIL "dropped" during their shopping trip and since I couldn't lie to my Mom I told her....she was surprised that I would plan something like this (a quick 4 day trip to WDW) and is really upset that my SIL ruined my surprise. I told her that I was planning on telling her when the Magical Express envelope arrived....oh well....Mom is happy and excited about the trip....I'm just really upset that I didn't get to "reveal" the surprise the way I wanted and I will miss seeing my Mom's reaction....don't worry...I have told my SIL how upset I am with her....she claims she never "told" my Mom....whatever!!!

Oh Elaine... I'm so sorry. I know what it's like to want a secret to turn out a certain way. It's hard to think why someone else would hint towards someone else's surprise, but you should feel flattered. Some folks don't plan surprises for others so dropping hints makes them feel they are a part of "The Big" surprise too!

Your Mom is now surprised and HAPPY!!! That's really the main thing! Now the countdown begins! Did you tell her about Chip and Dale too? Or just that you're taking her to WDW?

we did have time to make it to the beach.

Well, the beach on Lake Michigan anyway.
As you can tell, Belle is a grown-up dog now.

Hi Bob! Somehow, I never thought of a beach on Lake Michigan!!! Great picture! Glad you got to get some time at the beach. For me, a nice walk on the beach has a calming, freeing, and even healing effect. I've had many a good conversation alone on the beach. It has helped me to put things in perspective. Regardless of the time of day, or the weather, the tide comes in and goes out... kind of like breathing. Mmmmm, I think I could use a walk on the beach right now!

You're right Belle is a grown up lady now.

Thanks for the reassuring words...I'm still so upset but Mom is happy and excited and that what means the most to me.

Mom knows I planned a special dinner for her birthday...she does not know that we will be dining with Chip & Dale.

Wow...Belle has grown up to be such a lady....it seems like just yesterday she was a cute little puppy and now she's a grown lady.

The beach looks great....much better than the beach at Lake Ontario!!!!!!

Georgie, there are plenty of beaches on Lake Michigan.
But it is just not swimming season yet.
The picture you did not see was of the high sand dunes that Belle and I tried to climb.
We did make it about 1/3 of the way up.

Scott, sorry to hear about the nekid trees.
I think we will get that weather here tomorrow.

Lynn, I thought California was overrun with hot spots.

Remember, it's a jungle out there Kiddies.

Got my run in and the pups fed, They would never let me forget them. No wind when I started and it just started up after I got home. Good timing. Clear skies so maybe a motor bike ride later.

Brushed the pups.

Pot of ham and beans on for meals this week. Amazing what ya find in the freezer.

Have had a herd of Antelope hanging out near the house this week.

I don’t know what is up but I seem to be tired all the time. I think I need a vacation or to retire.

Very touching to watch the D-Day ceremony. Hope to visit the beaches next year, I feel it will be very moving.

okay I need everyone's help...I'm trying to plan Mom and my "free" dining trip for September and I was wondering if anyone has been to the Trails End Restaurant at Fort Wilderness for the dinner buffet and if anyone has been to the Anandapur Yak & Yeti restaurant for dinner at the AK. I'm curious as to how they do dinner at the AK since the park closes everyday at 5 pm.

The other restaurants I thinking about are:

Whispering Canyon for dinner (they have a 1/2 pound of peel & eat shrimp that Mom would die for)
50's Prime Time for dinner
Donald's Safari Breakfast in AK
Le Cellier for lunch
Mama Melrose for dinner

I'm also going to try my best to get dinner in the Castle eventhough it is 2 table service credits....I'm hoping it will be worth it.

Any other recommendations?????

Anandapur Yak & Yeti restaurant [/B]for dinner at the AK. I'm curious as to how they do dinner at the AK since the park closes everyday at 5 pm.

Yak and Yeti is very good, although never been for dinner. We have gone plenty of times for lunch. I guess, just make the latest reservation you can. Otherwise, what about the new Sanaa over in the new DVC party of AK lodge (kidani village). We are trying it next week, we know the chef, he was trained well, and it seems to be getting very good reviews.

We have always enjoyed 50's primetime. Good food.
Mama Melrose...yucky food.
Le Cellier, highly over rated...there is so many better restaurants around world showcase.
Donalds breakfast was ok when we went, regular food..the big plus was the characters, of course..they were great.




Sounds like you will be eating a lot..lol
